Software is a set of instruction and programs which instruct computer to do specific
things. Software refers to computer program (Bessen, 2017). There are three types of software
which are-
system software, application software and programming software.
System Software refers to base on which other application software works. Most basic
example of this is operating system.
Application software refers to a software which is intended to perform specific task. These are
office applications, gaming applications.
Programming software are set of tools which aid developers in writing programs.
Hardware on the other hand refers to physical parts of the computer or information
technology system. These are CPU, Monitor and other tools which are used for information
technology.
