Introduction
Global Events are the programmes which are held for a specific
duration of time and have a wide reach in different countries of the
world. These events are quite effective in reaching to a mass range
of audience. For this presentation, Edinburgh Festival and Brazil
Olympics have been chosen. Both were global events which
appealed to mass range of audience. In this presentation, specific
analysis will be made on exploring the diversity of global events
industry. Additionally, focus will be made specifically on the
evaluation of value, legacy and impact of events on environment in
the presentation.

Diversity of global events industry
There are different types of events which can be organized by the
event managers. These are explained as follows-
According to the content-
Social and family- These events can be for society as well as for
the family also. In social events generally the focus is on the
factors affecting the society.
Cultural and business- In cultural events the focus is on
ensuring that the culture of the society is given appropriate
importance.

Local events- These events are held at a local level in the society

Mega events- These events are held at a larger scale in the
society and thus make sure that they have a higher coverage
area than the local events.

coverage of a larger area is done. Their coverage area is more
than the mega events.
Hallmark events- These events can be fairs, expositions, cultural
and sporting events. These events are of international status
and can be held either regularly or on a one-off basis.

diversity ensures that the events are held in a proper manner. The
