INTRODUCTION
Information Technology Systems can be defining a set of different system which is used
by organisation and business. It include various kind instruments which are directly related to
software hardware to database techniques and other items which are related to functioning of the
organisation and helpful for managing effective communication and coordination between
different department. this is also helpful in managing the organisation class as well as improving
the quality of work for gaining maximum advantage. In this current report, Tesco is main focus
organization (Beynon-Davies, 2020). It is dealing within retail industry of UK, where it selling
different products related to food, clothing and many more. Tesco also use IT system in
organisation which enable manager to manage difference work within organisation and place
right employee on right job. This beginning of this report is consist of Uses of information
technology system in different departments of organisation.. In middle, there is discussion on IT
systems contribute to the achievement of objectives within Tesco. In the end of this report, there
is discussion various kinds of information systems which will helpful in process start and
knowledge management within the organisation for managing the customer relationship
communication management and data management in context of Tesco.

Overview of Tesco
Tesco is a leading organisation which is dealing with huge product range in retain
industry. Company has its headquarters in London, UK. Tesco is performing its function from
long period of time and also using IT system in organisation to grab different opportunity and
facilitate long run with smoothness in different function of organization.
Tesco is using manual function for check out system which become a time taking process
for customer and organisation. This can be replaced with self check out system as it will a
automatic system which will help organisation in saving sorceresses as well as establishing better
and quality service to customer so that relationship between customer and organization can be
improved(Avila and Garcés, 2017).

organisation in achieving the quality and effective communication in organisation, so that firm

context of Tesco it is also using IT in different function of organisation. Some of these are
mentioned below:
The Function of Communication: Communication important part of every business
function and help in transformation of information from one department to other. IT system in
organisation play important role in making communication stronger where firm can manage its
success as well easily manage communication in different department. In context of Tesco,
information system is important for manager as it include all the communication channels which
are must for managing smooth functioning. It includes E-mails, Video Conferencing and use of
social media account to manage communication in organization and gain advantage of fast and
smooth communication (Brandon, 2016).
The Function of Data Management: Data management is that function of organisation
which will lead to success of organisation if the data within that organisation is successful
management and can be used at the time of need. In context of Tesco, company use to higher
large number of employee and it require proper storage and management of data for keeping the
data safe and useful for future. Here. IT system of organisation help firm in management of this
data by use of its different functions. It system of organization mage the data in three stages
which are classified as store data, manage data and access data. This help organisation in
management of data base so that it can use it future by proper manageable and effective use.
The Function of Marketing: Marketing can be define as that function within
organisation which is related to attracting the customer towards product of organisation by the
use of advertised and promotional tools and establishing relationship so that customer can be
retained for longer period of time. Tesco use marketing for promotion of its products in market
where it is going to trade. Here, information system help organisation in managing its marketing
function with the help of content creation, online advertising, e commerce and marketing
research. This is because business is trending toward online sale of products which means that it
is important for organisation that it has to use It system which enable it to sale the product online
by effective use of resource. Proper IT system, helped Tesco in managing its function online
(Luftman, Lyytinen and Zvi, 2017).
The Function of Process Improvement: Information system has one more use in
organization and this is related to function of improvement. This is because it is important to
