INTRODUCTION
The term learning is explicated as a process of acquiring new understanding, learning,
behaviour, skills and knowledge of an individual. With the ability of learning an individual is
possessed learn areas from different factors related with humans, machine and teaching methods.
In simple terms, learning occurs when an individual is able to obtain mental and physical
knowledge of subject and use it to improve overall productivity of their role or project. The case
study explain and highlight on three different case study to analyse and understand about
different learning factors (Schweisfurth, 2015). Moreover, this report will include
responsibilities of coach, mentor and teacher to work with individual students and also
difference between their teaching methods. In the last, review of resources for an effective multi-
agency approach and the factors that influence on referral process will also included in this
report.
TASK 1
1.1 Responsibilities of a coach, mentor and teacher in relation to working with individual
students
To help someone or an individual to learn is recognised as a rewarding process and it
enable a person to watch learner development and grow and also to perform all task in a
potential manner. In simple terms, coach, teacher and mentor perform an important role to
provide support that improve learning of students. Some roles of coaching are mention as follow:
Coaching- The first case study relates with a woman who is at depressed stage but
according to given information lady has potential to complete programme with good
academic skills. Therefore, coach is able to provide right resources and it determines
thaw with availability of resources such as transparent communication channel and
induce of extension lines support an individual to interact with others in proper manner
that helps to overcome from depression through sharing emotions of learners (Pennington
and Richards, 2016). In second case, this is identified curriculum specialist perform an
important role because according to second case, learner has ability to pass their course
with high-grade. But due to inappropriate factors it is difficult for learner to focus on
study and also due to in-appropriate habits. This is complex for student to learn so coach
create content that improve learning factors in proper manner. In third case, data coach

responsibility is fulfilled by management and it guide students to generate liaisons
between research and practices. It results learner gain knowledge from tutorial sessions to
improve their study factors.
Responsibilities of Mentor- As the role of mentor, define that they perform an important
role for learner. This explain they perform an important role to support learner by
performing role of teacher who has more experience for deal with different legislations
(Kayi-Aydar, 2015). In first case, mentor aids learner to overcome from depression and
to motivate for attending classes by generating an appropriate structure to learn about
various knowledge factors that is related with concern of learner. In second case, mentor
perform the role of supporter for the student who is not regular among classes. This
results individual reflective practices is demonstrate among students and it helps to
provide knowledge related with instructions that facilitate better techniques to make
decisions by analyse of all factors. The third case define that learning and facilitating
engage teacher to collaborate with students through interacting and fulfilling needs of
individuals.
Responsibilities of teacher- Teacher perform an important role and it define that there
are various task relates with education system. It also consider that learner perform an
important role and it is used to improve teaching methods. In first case, teacher are
responsible to improve their work methods and it aids to induce learning factor that
motivated Cassie to attend programmes for improve work through learning. The second
case of Aran, aids teacher towards adoption of practices that are strict and disciplined and
it aids learner to follow all work practices (Han, 2017). In the last, third case define
teacher interact with individuals on regular basis to perform work in proper manner.
1.2 Differences between the coaching, mentoring and teaching roles in relation to working with
individual learner
Most of the individual don't understand about exact difference mentoring, coaching and
teaching. In the context of case study, all individuals follow different roles so it is essential to
analyse difference between their teaching methods. Difference between coach, mentor and
teacher are mention as follow:
