INTRODUCTION
Operation management is determined as important process achieving mission of
organisation. It helps in managing different functions of company in appropriate way. The
ASDA is determined as famous organisation that is located in West Yorkshire England UK. The
basic purpose of this report is to adopt proper leadership style for executing various conditions in
appropriate way. They offer information in context of various model of Management and
leadership in appropriate way (Meredith and Shafer, 2019).

P1 Examine various features as well as role of leader and manager
Leader: The leader always emphasized on stimulating subordinate of Organisation. In
reference of ASDA, the main purpose of leader is to encourage his subordinates for their
performance so that they are accomplishing Vision and Mission in given phase of time.
Roles of leader
 The leader always stress on stimulating assistant of Organisation. In reference of ASDA
the main purpose of leader is to encourage his subordinates for their performance so that
they are accomplishing Vision and Mission in given time period. The leader focuses on influence staffs for accomplishing goal in pre- decided time period.
The leader provides clarification in respect of objective for carry out work in good
manner.
Characteristics of a leader
 It is necessary for leader to possess good problem solving skill which is faced by
subordinate while carry out their work.
 It is vital for leader to be honest towards their mission and provide good ambience to its
employees.
Manager: The manager is considered as a person, whose main focus is to plan, staffing, and
organising, monitoring and controlling activities of company in appropriate manner.
Roles of Manager
 In context of ASDA the manager build appropriate tactics for achieving vision.
 The manager emphasised on providing data or information to subordinate in regards of
policies.
