Introduction
Social media is a medium, which is used by small, medium & large size companies with
the strategies related to business expansion. (Armstrong, Delia, Giardina, 2016.) This report
includes concept of social media and its effect on brand recognition along with cultural factor of
social media and its platform. Social media is useful for small size to medium size companies to
achieve their goals. (Zhao, 2019) In this aspect Natural Motion is a SME Company which is
engaged in 3D animation business.
Natural Motion is a video game production company, which is established in November
2001 in oxford, united kingdom. This is a small to medium size company with the strength of
198 employees. The company specializes in the development of animation technology for game
and movie industries, which is purchased by Zynga in January 2014. Natural Motion released its
first game Backbreaker Football in 2009. The animation technology which is used by natural
motion company known as Dynamic Motion Synthesis (DMS). It is a technology which is based
on real time imaging of bio-mechanics and the nervous system of motor control.
TASK 1
P1- Explain the key concepts of social media for businesses:
Social media, is use by small and large both kinds of organisations or businesses, it
includes a large number of applications. In the present competition world social media is a best
way for business expansion. (Brown, Czerniewicz, and Noakes, 2016.) This is accessed via
smart phones, tablet computers, and desktop computers. In this, Desktop computer present many
opportunities for organisations, Smartphone and tablet computers provide an awareness about
company's time and location to their user. These are the important tools of social media which is
used for sales promotion, communications, organisational development, marketing research, e-
commerce and many more. It can be said that (StageHvidtfeldt and Klastrup, 2020) the word
social media can described as a online communication channel, where a person share, and create
many information, content and interact with each others in various ways.
The most five basic concept of social media are as follows-
Social media, is a channel of conversation not conversion.

It is a particular behaviour of persons in respect of social media channels.
Social media is a marketing and communication tool which can be used by large and
small companies.
Social media channels can be used by companies in some different and similar ways.
It is completely associate with communication and marketing.
It can be said that, social media is necessary to survive in marketing competitions. It is a way,
where a small to medium scale company can try to achieve their goals with the aim of
expansions. (Cooner, Knowlesand Stout, 2016.) Social media is powerful way, where people can
share their opinion about any product and company, which will helpful for company to improve
the quality or services. Social media channels includes Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook
etc. In present time these channels have millions of users.
The concept of social media is effective, which create an attractive environment for
organisation and its user. Social media is not only about sharing and interacting with each other,
but also it has various channels where, a person can buy and sale product.
P2-Discuss the influence of business and cultural factors on the development of social media
It can be said that, development of social media is completely based on its cultural factor
and various businesses. (Stæhr, 2016.) If social media channels used by any company and that
company is getting successful in achieving their goals and the other company also used the social
media channels for the growth of its business in the competitive time. There are three important
cultural factor of social media, which includes: socialization, communication and changes.
Development of social media is related with above three factors in which, socialization is
most important factor. Social media provide most important and recent purpose to people that,
what is socially acceptable. (Russmann and Svensson, 2017) Most of the time social media
become a medium of giving example to persons that how to present problems, solutions and how
to react or not to react in unfavourable situation of company. In this way, social media plays a
big role in society.
