Appropriate management of all operations provides a significant contribution within the overall growth of the business. Thus, it is consider as only solution to business to gain better results within company. There are slow roasted peppers, steamed cabbages, French fries, English Breakfast, Bottomless cocktails, house bread are consider as key food items restaurant. There are several ventures of the food sector as well as beverages, future as well as current trends as well as marketing technology and many more. There are several aspects as well as factors that have been described within this report. Factors that impact consumers’ decisions making also mentioned below within report. For attracting families, restaurants focus on casual atmosphere with modest furnished. It is also assisted and mid priced service. Fast food outlets:It is other main types of food and beverages service or outlets that has limited menu of hot and cold beverages with easily prepared meals. It includes fast meals cooked in
advance and at the time of service they warm it. However, it is evaluated that there can occur various trends in future which are as follows: Current trends- there are certain trends which currently exist in hospitality sector. It is described as Decline in pubs– due to covid 19 there has been shut down of pubs, bars, etc in many countries. It is because government is taking strong measures to combat spread of covid 19 by imposing lock down. Thus, it is found that many pubs and bars are suffering from loss. Therefore, pubs are declining(Okumus, 2020). Deliveroo/just eat-it has been analysed that there is trend of ordering food online and getting it delivered at home. This has provided a new concept in hospitality industry. Thus, there is increase in online food delivery starts ups and companies such as just eat, deliveroo, etc. now, people are preferring to eat at home by ordering food from restaurant. They are getting food delivered at doorstep. Street food– there is change in people preference. Now, they are eating more street food. It is because of number of varieties and options available in it. So, it has attracted them towards it. Also, street food is less costly as compared to other ones so this trend exists in hospitality sector. Future trends – with use of technology and changing lifestyle of people there will be many new trends emerging in hospitality sector. They will highly transform the entire industry. Robot waiter– Now with new normal in future there will be use of robots rather than waiter. The robot will perform all tasks just like human. They will take order, serve it, etc. hence, human waiter will be replaced by robot ones. Touch screen technology – in future with use of technology the menu card system will be replaced with touch screen one. Here, guest will have to order from touch screen. Thus, all menu items and its prices will be displayed in it. Therefore, overall process will be transformed and fastened(Okumus, 2020). This means that staff of McDonald’s Corporation is encouraged to be friendly with guests and customers and provide them service with smile (Rajawat and et.al., 2020). In their customer satisfaction they involved elements like short-wait times, and hot food. McDonald’s Corporation also provided refunds to customers who waited for more than 5 minutes and in order to attract and create loyal customers they prioritised making customers happy. This strategy of McDonald’s have been highly successful and because staff play important role in attraction and retention of customers. Boost emotional appeal This is another strategy that has been utilised by food and beverages outlets, in which organisations and outlets try to evoke emotions in audience and prospective customers. This strategy has been very successful for KFC and company have managed to sustain and stay strong in competitive environment. CONCLUSION On the basis of above discussion, it can be concluded that food and beverage industry involve several types of businesses, these are cafe, restaurants and several other types of businesses are being operated within this industry and these were discussed in this report. Followed by this, report discussed about current and future trends affecting food and beverage industry and because this industry and businesses get severely affected by trends. Followed by this, report discussed about functioning of food and beverages businesses and outlined comparison and contrasting different operational and marketing technology for different food and beverages businesses. Later report discussed about several factors that affect and influence consumers’ decision for food and beverages outlets. Factors disused in this are affordability, brand identify, quality and few other factors.
