Executive Summary
This report discusses the implications and use of biometric identification systems that could be
used within Dynamic Emergency Aid charity organisation based on their emerging needs of
operations. The charity organisation is facing some kind of problems based on managing the
various functionalities that are prevalent within their business. Based on the needs of focusing on
the biometric identification systems, a brief discussion has been focused on the impacts that
would be made with the use of such kind of efficient systems. In recent years, there has been a
massive rise in the demand for making use of such kind of important technology within their
business systems. Many companies have also implemented the use of such kind of biometric
identification systems within their systems in order to maintain the huge forms of efficiencies in
the processes and also ensure a smooth working over each of the functionalities. The report thus
also focuses on the two forms of biometric authentication techniques such as face print and
finger vein identification systems. These two forms of identification techniques have been
compared based on the help of certain factors, the various factors include convenience, reliability
and acceptability of such kind of ethical considerations that have been described within the
report. The report further discusses the different kind of recommendations that could be
suggested for the use of biometric identification systems. Based on the comparison the main
focus is put over the use of finger vein identification systems within the use of Dynamic
Emergency Aid charity organisation. Hence, the discussion on this report focuses over the brief
introduction of fingerprint technologies and other biometric authentication systems based on
which the charity organisation would be able to implement the best kind of practices within the
industry.

1. Introduction
Biometrics is defined as the science of identification of people based on the use of
psychological features. The Biometric Identification Systems (BIS) can be defined as the
identification of some characteristics of persons based on the use of biometric features. These
kinds of systems are also expected to make use of exclusive in order to bring out the best kind of
outputs based on certain key resources (Ashbourn 2014). The use of biometrics mostly offers an
individual to get identified and thus authenticated based on a certain set of verifiable and
recognizable data that would be extremely unique in nature and specific to a certain character.
The process of biometric authentication is defined as the process of comparison of data
based on the certain specific characteristics of the person based on the biometric template for the
factor of determining the resemblance factor (He and Wang 2015). The model of reference is
firstly stored in a certain database or a certain form of a secure portable element such as a smart
card. The stored data within the database would then be compared with the biometric data of the
person in order to get themselves authenticated. The process of biometric identification mostly
consists of the determining of the identity of the person.
2. Discussion
2.1 Description of Biometric Identification Systems
The biometric verification could be defined as the means by which a person would be
able to uniquely identify each of the biological traits of individuals. The different kind of unique
identifiers would include several aspects such as hand geometry, retina and iris patterns, DNA,
signatures, voice waves and fingerprints. The oldest form of biometric verification can be
considered as fingerprinting technology (Reid, Nixon and Stevenage 2014). The primary aim of
