Managing change within organization is a systematic
approach that benefits in dealing with change in procedures of
firm in a proper manner. Main reason behind carrying out
changes is to enhance effectiveness so that required
modifications can be implemented through appropriate means.
This assignment poster is prepared for Hilton Hotel which is a
US based multinational hotel operating worldwide. This
poster will cover about change and role of HR in
organizational change and design. Along with this,
recommendations so that change can be adopted properly are
discussed.
Change: This is the second stage which is time consuming as
workers will try to carry out modifications in their working
procedures. In this stage, leader of Hilton Hotel is needed to give
direction to workforce so that they can incorporate change
properly. With the help of two way communication and offering
training to employees, expected change can be carried out in
Hilton Hotel properly.
Refreeze: This is the last stage in which change is properly
adopted and implemented by the manager in Hilton Hotel. In this
step, all the aspects of a firm again refreezes due to which
everything became normal. At this time within company,
employees have also accepted the change and all the work is
performed with full efficiency so that better outcomes can be
gained. This will assists in earning advantage over rival
companies.
Management of change in a business firm is a systematic way
that assists in implementing change effectively. Change
management is a way through which a firm implements
change in their external and internal process. It includes
preparing of staff so that expected factors can be considered
in a sincere manner. Concerned company which is Hilton
Hotel is going to restructure their organization by introducing
digitization at workplace. This is a big change which will be
carried out by company. By this, change and modifications
such as organizational restructure by adoption of digitization
for improved communication with customers can be adopted
properly. In this respect, manager of Hilton hotel can adopt
Lewin's change model which is stated below:
Lewin's Change management model
Lewin change management is a popular model that
helps in determining change in organisation and its structure.
This model was introduced by Kurt Lewin and treated
organisation with a block of ice.
Unfreeze: This is first stage associated with change
management where a company prepare itself for change and
modifications. This stage is essential for Hilton hotel as
employees working there will resist change and manager will
try to implement change. Hence, HR manager in Hilton is
needed to tell employees the reason behind change and benefits
of adopting digitalisation. In unfreeze stage, structure in Hilton
hotel will be re-examined.
