4. Describe how
systems
engineering
concepts and
methodologies
can help a
project manager
organise a
project
I have learned from the study learning materials of week 4 about
the details of whole system and its application is project and
overall organizational success. Three different types of systems
are there such as situational system, respondent system and
system assets. In order to control the application and other
elements the system engineering concept and methodologies
are very essential. I have learned that in order to identify
potential problems system complexities are required to analyse
first by the organizational project managers. For some cases
understanding opportunities and problems become difficult for
the project associates therefore, system solution may fail to
resolve problems at the initial stage. Though, in order to
enhance the understanding for both issues and solution for next
problems system level solutions are very helpful. I have learned
that, verification and validation are the two different stages
must be followed to execute any project successfully within
assigned budget and timeline. Verification make sure that
whether each of the project elements are meeting the clients
requirements or not. On the other hand, a system will be
identified as a validated one if it meets all the stakeholder’s
requirements and expectation.
I have gained knowledge regarding risks associated to
concurrent engineering. I have come to know that a project will
face major issues due to the following reasons:
Extreme system over lapping
Extreme reworks
Unexpected issues
The above identified issues can collectively result issues of
