INTRODUCTIONIn the present day life, various events are organised. These events may be conducted forany purpose such as sports, dance, singing, skating, etc. In case, if they are conducted on a widerrange then it impacts various internal and external environmental factors (Lane and et. al. 2016).The present report is based on the Virgin Money London Marathon held in year 2017. In thisundertaking, an assessment of impact of this event is discussed. For overall analysis, all aspectsof the impacts will be taken in consideration. Further, for internal impact ROI will be considered.In addition to this, to assess the external impacts PESTLE analysis will be performed in thisreport. All negative and positive dimensions of the impact will be explored in the undertaking. MAIN BODY London Marathon is a long-distance running event organised in London, UK. This eventwas first held in 1981 and since then it is organised every year. It is a road type event that wasfounded by an Olympic champion Chris Brasher and an athlete John Disley. Presently, throughsponsorship it is known as Virgin money London Marathon. Virgin money is a public limitedcompany belonging to bank and financial sector of UK. Virgin money giving is later set up bythe group which is a charitable non-profit company (Mackintosh and et. al. 2015). Further, afoundation of this firm is the charitable arm in the London Marathon. The aim behind this is toraise money for good causes. Also, it is promoting the business objective of the company. Thereexists a wide range of o0bjecvtives that are to be covered by the entity to achieve organisationalsuccess.There exist some objectives of London Marathon set out by the founders to attain theirgoal. The entity aims on improving the standards and status of British marathon running. Theyalso aims on reflecting mankind that they can be united, of needed. There are various benefits ofthis marathon such as it creates money for sporting and recreational activities in the country. Itfurther helps in boosting the tourism of London. In addition to this, it renders an effectivemessage to the world that "Britain is best" in conducting events. Further, there exist one moreaim of the firm and that is to spread fun, and providing happiness in a troubled life. Further, theobjectives of the London marathon trust is to make available high quality, accessible andaffordable opportunities of sport, healthy physical activity in the areas it does operates.
