Task 1:
About the website and target audience: The UK library website revolves around the
usage of an online system for the assigning of the books to the different users based on the
priority. The website allows the clients to add the books of different genres to the wish list. After
adding to the wish list, the priority is set according to the choice of the user. In accordance with
the booking of the different users, the book is issued. The UK library updates the information
accordingly. A particular date is assigned by the website on the basis of the bookings to the user.
The book is picked up by the user from the library according to the date assigned in the website.
The date of return of the book is also mentioned in the website.
The target audience of the website involves the book lovers. The target audience
comprise of two sections of client, one the normal clients and the other section are the premium
clients. The premium client can add more number of books to the wish list. The normal clients
can add lesser number of books to the wish list. The premium clients of the website have the
access to all genres of books while on the other hand the normal clients have access to the
limited genres of books. More of the target audience opt to be a premium member as there is
access to more number of genres. Among the target audience, the inclusion of the people who are
less than 18 years of age cannot get access to the website. The other advantage that the premium
client has is that the premium client can preview more pages of a particular book than the
normal client and also can keep the book for more span of time.
Content of the site: On the top of website, there is the logo of the UK library. Below
there is a bar which represents the various forms of report that the website contains. The reports
contain the report of the book, the report of the member and the report of the author and borrow

report. These reports contain the information about the members and all the details about the
book that is added to the wish list by the user. The information of the author of the different
books are also presented in the form of a report.
The content of the UK Library website involves a home page, which features the best-
selling books in order attract more number of clients. The next page is the page featuring the
login credentials. The registration of the clients is mandatory for the accessing of the websites.
For the registration of the clients, the various details have to be entered. After the registration,
the next page is the login credentials page where the login details have to be entered. The next
page is the page where the picture for the profile has to be uploaded. After the successful
completion of the registration process, the page gets automatically refreshed to the accessing of
the website. During the registration process if any of the clients age is found to be less than
eighteen, then the client is not allowed to access the website. After the successful registration, in
the top right corner of the page the name of the user is displayed.
Features using scripting language: The use of the javascript is made on the client side.
The use of javascript is made as the use of javascript is easy to implement. The javascript allows
the user to work even when the computers are offline. The javascript also helps in the fixing of
the problems arising in the browser, for instance the fixing CSS removes issues in the browsers.
On the server side, the use of PHP can be made. The use of PHP helps in the recognition
of the threats that may occur. The security effectiveness is one of the characteristics of the PHP.
The other reason for the usage of the PHP concept is the simplicity of the technology. The PHP
is easy to use, because of which the PHP technology can easily be used.

Level of security: A particular level of security has been implemented in the website. The
client needs to register in order to view the website or use the website. A person who is less than
the age of eighteen also cannot view or access the website. The login credential also has to match
with the login details entered by the user during the registration. These are the security levels that
has been implemented in the website.
Task 2:
The Britain Library is e-library web page which provides numerous updated News and
blogs about current libraries information which are situated in UK. The website offers an eye-
catching interface with easy accessibility over all the menu and catalogue. The website has a
customizable search section, from where user can choose between option such as “our website”
and “Main Catalogue” to find the desired information. It also provides filter options to easily find
and categorize the search results to find desired information.
Like any other standard website this site also provide register option which is more
effective and categorized than others. They offer three options to join as a reader, member and
patron. Every option provides different access capacity over the webpage. The reader pass
provides the access to only read article and blogs. While members have the accessibility over
most of the sections. Membership offer perks such as unlimited free entry to the exhibitions,
access to the exclusive Members' Room, or the Knowledge Centre Bar on weeknight evenings
are just a few. Patrons can enjoy special access to the collections through curated events, preview
openings of the major exhibitions and other exclusive behind the scenes opportunities. For those
different section user has to complete different type of registration process.

London library is one of the oldest library in the UK, However the website is not that old
and provide a nice interface with some essential navigations. The design of this page is pretty
simple and effective as there is a suitable menu consist of About Us, Collection, and Join and
member’s area. In the collection section they provide categorize such as Books, Scope of the
collection, online and special collections. Every one of them provides suitable results as user
demand.

In the top right section of the website the search box is also available to access any
section quickly. The search section is pretty simple, user needs type the search queries and after
pressing Enter relevant information are provided. However, there is no search button available.
Join section is for registering new user or log-in with existing account. it also provides an
effective functionality as there is many pack available for different type of users. It just takes
couple of clicks to register excluding the filling process of account and personal detail process.
There is mainly two navigation bar available for the join section, one in the Menu bar and other
in the body of the website. User can enter from both sections. For every different option
associate hyperlinks are available to make it easier and user friendly.
The navigation bar was implemented effectively; they provide efficient hyperlinked that
takes the page to the new tab. There is section like e-library, my account and blogs. Each section
was designed suitable. However, there is lack of graphics in almost every page. My account
section provides an email and password box for easy log-in that was automatically transferred to
new tab with a little information about the membership content.

Simple black, ash and white colors have been used in the website design. The main menu
has black as background color and white as link color.
