Concept:
The project will deal with web development. It is a development project that will work
with browser application and android application. The idea is to develop a website that can
provide a unique social network platform to the users.
Social network is a medium to connect people all over the world digitally. Internet is the
technology that has the ability to bring together anything in its vicinity and connect them and
social networks utilize that ability of the internet (Burke 2013). Social Networks that are in use
like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, MySpace, Friendster, LinkedIn etc.have a bit of different
functionality but they serve the same purpose, they focus on connecting the world.
This project is quite similar to the social networks like Facebook, LinkedIn but it has a
hybrid form of action. The product of the project will be a social network and some features will
be incorporated to make it extra exciting.
The Design:
The website will show a webpage on loading the first time. It will ask an individual to
open an account. If account already created then it will recognize the user and will ask to log in.
Opening account will follow the usual process. Upon logging in, the user will be directed to the
profile page of the user. This profile page will contain basic things like profile picture and
information about the user. Here in the profile page, features will not be like Facebook. It will
not contain media posting and file uploading features. Instead of posting media on user’s own
profile, a separate feature will be added. That feature is a gallery; users will get to create their
own gallery depending on their passion and this gallery will be fully customizable. Everybody

The idea is to keep the design very much simple and solid. The chat box of the website will be
movable all over the screen and it can be placed anywhere o the screen as per the users’
convenience.

Communication Plan:
The project mainly handles the outside stakeholders. All of the members – users and
recruiters are the most important stakeholders and to communicate with them about this project,
the following planning will be adapted:
The project primarily targets the users who require a dedicated platform to
showcase their passion. This website will be advertised in various social media

sites to capture the attention of the users. Promotion on YouTube will be done
with the help of advertisements.
It is also a unique platform for the corporate community and hence it will target e-
mail advertisement and promotion (Gomez and Tejedor 2015). Mails will be
officially sent to various firms who can be directly interested in the website, such
as the designing firms, studios etc.
People who would be looking forward to start their own business through online
portfolios, the website will help them in trying out free portfolio samples and with
them, advertisements will be promoted to spread the news (Lando 2014).
Risk Management Strategy:
The biggest risk the project faces is the funding which might not be sufficient for
the entire research and development (Moran 2014). The investors may refuse to
invest due to the risks of profitability with this project. In this case, a beta
prototype will be launched officially, which will display the potential features of
the project and its working principles (Liu, Meng and Fellows 2015). This is how
the beta launch will determine the potential market popularity of the project which
will lead to financial stability in achieving all the features proposed initially.
