1. Introduction
1.1 Research Background
The research is made on the topic ‘The important role of woman entrepreneurship in
development of Indian economy’. The research focuses on the vital areas which influence the
role of women entrepreneurship in development of Indian economy. Entrepreneurship is
attaining importance in modern era which is a global phenomenon. As per Chavan and Murkute,
(2016), Entrepreneurship development is beneficiary for the developed countries. On the other
hand, the role of entrepreneur has changed in developing countries such as India in recent past.
It is the process of encouraging self-employment. It has been found that entrepreneurship is not a
male privilege. It has been evidenced by Brahmbhatt, (n.d.), that women entrepreneurship has
attained momentum in the last three decades with amplify in the number of women endeavour
and their substantive involvement to the development of the economy in the country.
As per Pal, (2016), women entrepreneur has to face various challenges in the industry such as
lack of wealth, socio-cultural barriers, lack of support from family and lack of capital. It has been
found that 15.1 percent of women corporate in transportation and warehousing industry, 13.5
percent of women corporate in Mining and oil and gas removal, 10 percent of women corporate
in Administrative support and waste management remediation service (Pal, 2016). Women have
to face several challenges because people around her feel that the women should be obliged
towards her duties of handling her families. However, government of India has implemented
various positive steps to bring improvement in the policies which encourage to women
entrepreneurship in India.

The research will be considering to several sources of information and by taking a specific
method of the research. The proper timeline frame is given in the research to define the findings
of the research.
1.2 Aims and Objective
The major aim of the research is to recognize the important role of woman entrepreneurship in
development of Indian economy. This also narrates the liable factors which increase the
productivity of the employee in an adequate manner.
The main objectives of the research are:
To explore the importance of women entrepreneurs in India.
To critically analyse the aspects accountable for the achievement of the Women
Enterpreneur.
To find out confronts faced by women entrepreneurs.
1.3 Research questions

2. Literature Review
Pal, (2016), evaluated and compared the diverse research completed on the entrepreneurship
considering women entrepreneurship. It outlines the several studies in different way that the
women entrepreneurs are comparatively educated usually but perhaps not in the administration
skills. It has been analyzed by JayaKumar and Kannan, (2014), that many challenges are faced
by women while handling the responsibilities of business which being the cause of overlapping
of responsibilities of family and business, less risk bearing capacity, illiteracy among rural
women with the enhancing interest of government in women entrepreneurship made it as an
chance for women. It is highlighted by Sharma, (2013), the development methods for women
entrepreneurship which are adequate training programs, educational facilities and making special
target groups for female entrepreneurs.
It has been analyzed that the role of women entrepreneurs in the growth of the Indian economy is
huge and they contribute in the enlargement of a country through two ways. Initially they
contribute in the development of economy by improving in per capita income, capital formation,
innovation and developing the employment. After that their contribution is huge in social
development such as improvement in living standard, balanced regional growth and innovation
(Malyadri, 2014). Field, Jayachandran and Pande, (2010), also endeavoured to connect women
entrepreneur and economic growth and it has been found that economic growth of India is
influenced by women entrepreneur significantly such as increase saving that outcome
enhancement in working capital, enhance business volume and enlarge in purchasing power.
According to Behara and Niranjan, (2012), women entrepreneurs have to face various challenges
in India in the development of economy as they have to choose between family and career, lack
