The work-based learning module has provided numerous opportunities for personal and professional development. The report highlights the major skills that have been acquired during the module, such as communication skills, critical analysis, problem-solving skills, and teamwork. The report also discusses the weaknesses that have been turned into strengths and the future skills that need to be developed, such as decision-making skills, leadership skills, listening skills, self-management skills, and motivation skills.

INTRODUCTION
The current study is based on highlighting reflection. In this report the major learning that
has been made during the module will be highlighted. Furthermore, application of learning will
be described. Moreover, the future learning that is needed in order to show effectiveness in
future job will be highlighted in the report.
REFLECTION
During this module I have experienced numerous experience that are aligned with
positive and negative elements. Thus, this module has enabled me in terms of gaining personal as
well as professional development. During this session I have got opportunity in relation of
adding skills in my existing skills and enhancing my creativity as well. My tutor has provided me
effective support throughout the module and I become able to participate in all task because of
the support that has been assured by my tutor. The major learning in relation of professionalism
has been witnessed by me during this module. Furthermore, I become able in terms of
developing my weaknesses into strengths. Major skills that has been acquired by me during this
module is concerned with communication skills, presentation skills, critical analysation, problem
solving skills and so on. There are large number of seminar has been done during this session
and discussion in regards to provide effective services to the patients has been done. This has
provided me opportunity in terms of gathering knowledge in context of the ways that has to be
adopted in order to assure effective services to service users.
During the module, I have got numerous assignment that has enhanced my learning
power. I have got opportunity in relation of presenting my assignment in front of tutor. However,
at initial stage I get hesitate while giving presentation and it was due to my ineffective
communication skills. With the passage of time when I made numerous discussion with my
mates and tutor. This results in developing effective communication skills in me. As a result, my
presentation becomes highly effective that has added glory in my presentation. Thus, from here I
got to know that practice regarding specific element helps in enhancing own skills and assure
development in an effective manner. The another skills is related to critical analysation. This
skill enabled me in terms of critically analysing the things and making a conclusion (Balula,
Sandra and António Moreira., 2018). During the session I have got assignment in which I have to

explore case study and on the basis of that the current diagnosis of the patient needs to be
identified. On the basis of this the interventions needs to be made. Thus, critical analysation
skills has enabled me to identify each element in deep manner. As a result, I have identified
every aspect related to assignment in effective manner. Thus, this has helped me in terms of
making my project more effective and I gained effective marks as well. Thus, complete session
has provided me number of opportunities at each stage that has helped me in terms of developing
myself from personal and professional attributes equally.
At initial stage while completing the project I have faced large number of problems and
due to my ineffective communication skill I was not able to share my doubts and problems with
my tutor. Thus, this lead to create large number of problems for me where my large number of
doubts remained unclear. Afterwards, my tutor made discussion in regards of problem that has
been faced by me and at that time I shared all of my issues in effective manner. I said that, the
major issue that has been arrived is related to time management. I am not able to complete my
assignment on time and this leads to create problems for me as it is highly important to complete
the given task on time. My tutor said to me that, I should part my whole task in different part and
time-frame should be given to each task as it help me in relation of completing my task on time. I
applied this concept and this has been proven highly effective in terms of improving my time
management skills (Kahu and Nelson, 2018). Thus, here I realised that it is highly important to
share the doubts and problems from tutor as effective support from then can lead to create
confidence and also helps in ensuring personal and professional improvement (Salam and et.al.,
2019). The reading advice clinic has provided me support throughout this module. It has been
considered as the community that assure support to the student in terms of taking mandatory
clinical decision.
I have experienced effective growth in nature of academic argument. This refers to self
stance, claim and ability to take on self project (Wingate, 2019). This helped me in terms of
describing my perspectives and point of view in relation of the topics that has bee learned by me
during this module. It is highly important to have effective command over self topic as it helps in
presenting self perspectives in effective manner. Thus, I have improved my academic argument.
This has often contributed in my communication skills as while making argument I got
opportunity in terms of expressing my opinion in effective manner. Thus, this helped me in

effective manner in order to grow from professional aspects as developing strength of academic
argument helps in developing self opinion and command in relation of topic in effective manner.
I have also gained the specific skills in relation of clinical project submission. The project
submission must be on time within full-filling complete requirement of the project. As described
earlier that my tutor has guided me in relation of developing my time management skills and this
has helped me in delivering of my project in efficient manner. Thus, it has helped me in terms of
developing effective image in front of my tutor as I have followed all guidelines that has been
given by them. Also, I have parted my goals that has assured me effective support in order to
complete my project on time along with submitting the project on time (Cottrell, 2019). Graduate
attributes refers to the standard qualities, skills and understanding that has been gathered by the
students while they are in university (Oliver and Jorre de, 2018). Assurance of graduate attributes
develops students from all aspects and prepare them for future. Thus, in my university I have got
the opportunity of experiencing graduate attributes as certain skills has been learned by me that
helps in my job satisfaction at my workplace. In this module along with the theoretical
knowledge I have got the opportunity for making practical learning as well. In context of
graduate attribute the major attribute that has been developed in me is related to team working.
I have got the chance in relation of performing task in group. Here, I realised that it is
highly important to make coordination with team members as this leads to impact final
deliverables. Thus, at initial stage the coordination in my team was highly ineffective that has
impacted the potential outcomes. Team development spirit is highly required as it helps at job
place as well. I am glad that my university has provided me this opportunity that has helped me
in terms of growing ability in relation of working in team. With the help of this I have become
able to cooperate with my mates as well. In-future, I will be able to cooperate with my
colleagues as well. Therefore, I will use this practical learning in my future as well. I have also
analysed that while working in team it is important to understand the opinions of other team
members as well. This leads to create effective interaction among team members. As a result,
this impact the performance level of team as well. If effective interaction has been developed
among team members then it leads to create direct impact over the performance of the team.
At initial stage, my team members was not assuring effective coordination with the leader
and this has impacted the results in drastic manner. While working with another team I got to
know the major reason behind the failure of existing team. The roles and responsibilities that has

been delegated to team members was against of their interest level and therefore certain conflicts
has been arrived that impacted the over-all results. Thus, understanding the interest of team
members is highly important as it impacts the results. When I worked with another team in that
team the leader has delegated roles and responsibilities within making discussion with the group
members. Thus, this helped in developing effective interaction among the members. As a result,
the outcomes of the project has assured effective result. Along with this, this has helped me in
terms of understanding the importance of team work. The another graduate attribute is concerned
with the professionalism. Thus, I have got the opportunity in terms of enhancing my
professionalism as well. Professional character helps in adding glory to the over-all character.
Ethics, morals and discipline are the important features that contributes in professional character.
I have learned all these aspects during module. Thus, this has added glory in professional
development.
I have analysed my weaknesses as well that has helped me in terms of developing me
from all aspects as I have changed my weakness into strengths. The major weakness was related
to ineffective communication skills. However, my university has provided me numerous
opportunities through which I have developed effective communication skills in me.
Furthermore, I become able to shape my character in professional manner. Thus, the experience
was aligned with positive and negative elements equally. I got the opportunity in relation of
experiencing personal and professional development. In context of personal development I got to
learn the importance of being humble and kind to my mates. In regards to professional
development, I got opportunity in relation of learning mandatory skills such as, communication,
critical analysation, problem solving, presentation skill, team working and time management
skill. Thus, all of these skills has added glory in my professionalism and enable me in context of
shaping my character in professional manner. These skills used to be my weaknesses that has
changed into my strengths during this module. I have got effective support from my tutor that
has helped me in order to grow from all aspects.
I will use all of these skills in future as well. In order to ensure consistency in learning it
is important to assure the application and implication of learning as practical knowledge assure
quality development. Therefore, I will assure keen focus over using all of these skills in my
future as well. As a result, this will keep adding effectiveness in my professionalism as well.
Along with this, it helps in increasing my confidence level as well which leads to complete all

task with efficiency. Hence, I can say that this module has provided me numerous opportunities
in terms of developing my weaknesses into strengths. Also, this has made me enable to analyse
self-potential that can be used for further growth and development. The vital role has been
played by my university as it has ensured me effective platform where I can learn and grow.
Thus, I will use this learning in my future within being thankful to my university.
There are certain skills that I have planned in order to learn that will help me at my
workplace and those are, decision-making skills, leadership skills, listening skills, self-
management skills and motivation skills. I have analysed that, I need to grow these skills in me
in order to become more effective at workplace. Decision making skills in me helps in taking
most appropriate decisions from the available options (Ghazali and et.al., 2021). I have
ineffective decision-making skill and this impacts my decision and at the end it impacts the result
as well. Therefore, I will assure effective focus developing this skill in me. In terms of growing
this skill in me I will focus on selecting numerous options and then, I will evaluate each
alternative in deep. On the basis of evaluation I will take the decision. In this manner, it will help
me in selecting effective decision. Thus, this further enable me in terms of taking most effective
decision at the workplace. The another skill that I have planned for making improvement is
related to leadership skill. This skill refers to that skill that helps in managing team unity at the
workplace and often helps in guiding the team members (Reddrop and Mapunda, 2019).
Leadership skill is highly important as it helps in establishing effective relationship among
service providers. Thus, leadership skill will enable me to guide staff members in effective
manner. Often, it helps in creating effective interaction among me and staff members.
Listening skills refers to have the ability on listening and valuing other opinion. This skill
is highly important as it creates sense of confidence in the person at the workplace. Therefore, I
will develop this skill in me. I will try to listen the opinion of others and try to understand the
major attributes that is aligned with their opinions. Every person has different opinion and they
have different reason behind this (Iordanoglou, 2018). Therefore, I will understand the major
reason behind the thoughts of people at my job place. This will lead to establish effective
understanding at my job place and often helps me in understanding them in effective manner.
Along with being a good speaker it is important to become an effective listener as well. It
provides the assurance of professionalism in a person therefore, I will develop this skill in me.
The another skill that is needed to develop in me in related to self-management. In order to

provide effective services in context of my job role it is highly important that I must assure focus
over self-management. When I will able to manage myself in an effective manner then, I will be
able to manage everything at job place in highly efficient manner. Therefore, this skill is needed
to develop in me.
In context of developing this skill I will plan my whole day task and part them in short
goals. In this manner, I will able to complete my task along with managing myself in whole day.
Lastly, I will focus over developing motivation skill in me. Motivation has been considered as
that element that helps in encouraging an individual (Bhakti, Astuti and Agustina, 2018).
Therefore, I will assure focus over this skill as this will enable me to motivate the people in
future at my job place. This skill is part of leadership skill. However, I have parted this skill so, I
can effectively assure keen focus over this as it will help me to develop effective interaction with
the members and encourage them to assure services in effective manner. In order to gain this
skill I will focus over maintaining positivity in me as positive attitude helps in delivering
motivation.
CONCLUSION
The above report has concluded that reflection plays vital role in analysing self strength
and weaknesses. Also, it helps in analysing the extent up-to which personal professional
development has been gained. The report has highlighted the reflection in context of learning
made during this module.
