INTRODUCTIONProject management is defined as a process which includes planing controlling andexecuting of a project in terms of achieving preset objectives of a firm. Apart from thatmanaging business project is defined as a key element through which organisation can easily geteffective outcomes. Basically, a project is depend on the various sources but if it is fail it gavewrong impact on the business operations. It gave a responsibility to project managers tooperating projects as per the schedule in order to getting effective outcomes in future. Thecompany is taken for this assignment is Vodafone group plc that engages in telecommunicationsector with headquarters in London and it was established in 1991. This report will discuss aboutthe aims and objective of project along with cost, quality an scope of it. Work breakdownstructure and Gantt chart will also prepared in this report. An investigation will also conducted inthis report for identifying qualitative and quantitative methodologies of research.TASK 1P1 Aims and ObjectivesOverview of the company: The company which is being taken into consideration in order to carry out theresearch is Vodafone which is a British multinational telecommunications company. Itheadquarter is situated in London and was founded in 1991. In addition to this it specificallyoperates in regions like Europe, Oceania, Africa and Asia. It mainly deals in products like Fixedline telephone, mobile phone, Broadband, digital television and internet television (Marcos,2014). Moreover, it operates its network in 25 countries and has a partner network in 47 furthercountries.Background of the research:Globalization plays an important role in the overall development of the nations asit is the process of interaction and integration among various peoples, companies and nations. Ithas been taken place due to the advancement in transportation, communication technology. Dueto increase in the level of globalization there has been development and growth in trade, ideasand culture. Economically, it involves exchange of goods, services, resources of capital,technology and data. In addition to this it has also lead in the expansion of global market, hasliberalized the economic activity of exchange of products and services. Furthermore it has also

lead to removal of trade barriers(Tariff and non tariff barrier) and has made global market morefeasible.Aims: The aim of this assignment is to analyse the implication of globalization on theworkplace of Vodafone and how it will help in shaping future workforce.Objectives:1.To understand concept of globalization2.To examine the impact of globalization on the workplace of Vodafone3.To explore the challenges and opportunities that globalization represent for Vodafonebusiness P2 Project management plan that covers aspects of cost, scope, time, quality, communication,risk and resourcesProject management is the practice of initiating, executing, planning , controlling andwinding up of work of a particular team so as to achieve target goals and to meet success criteriaon specified time schedule. So its the prime responsibility of the project manager of Vodafonecompany to plan, execute, and close projects (Ortiz‐Yoon, 2012). In addition to this Vodafonecompany should follow essential steps while carrying out the project management plansuccessfully and they are explained below:Cost: It specifically includes controlling expenses, planning of budget, cost budgetingetc. So its the prime responsibility of the project manger of Vodafone company to makeproper arrangements of capital so as to carry out project smoothly in an effective andefficient manner.Scope: Vodafone is a multinational business which carry out its business all over theworld. It operates its business in almost 25 countries and because of which its projectscope is too high.Quality: Its the prime responsibility of the project manger of Vodafone company toensure that all the activities which are to be carried out while carrying out its plan mustbe of better quality and should be done in an effective and efficient manner.Time: While carrying out the project management plan, project manger of Vodafonecompany should ensure that each activity of the project is being carried out on time sothat there does not take place any delay to achieve target aims and objectives.

Communication: Other essential element which the project manager of Vodafonecompany should ensure that there must be proper communication and coordinationamong the members those are carrying out the project. Thus, it will helps in achievingtarget on specified time period.Resources: Most important of all is that project manger of Vodafone company shouldensure proper and optimum utilization of resources so as to earn maximum profit byincurring minimum cost.P3 Work breakdown structure and a Gantt chart to provide time frames and stagesWork breakdown structure- It is defined as dividing a work into small parts. It is animportant structure which helps organisation in organising the work in an effective manner.Through this structure a firm can easily complete its difficult task in addition to this it is the workin which employees gave their maximum efforts in their assigned task. With relating to projectmanagement, it provide assistance to management in making divisions of activities in varioussmall parts in order to getting effective results in future. It also helps employees so that, theycannot raise any issues regarding to work. It is a method through which an organisation is easilycomplete their complex projects or tasks (Richter, 2012). Furthermore, its main objective is tomanage big projects into controllable divisions by making their small parts. It also provide aid tomanagement in effective utilisation of resources.

Gantt chart – It is a chart through which organisation can get tracking of all activitiesregarding to a specific project. In other words, It is the type of graphic example that provideassistance to organisation in planing and controlling things in term of tracking the functions of aproject. Horizontal lines are showing the activities which are completed in the project anddefines how much time is taken in completion of project. In this, the activities related to theproject are separated on the basis of time. It give time period to employees in which they have tocompleted the task. It is providing the effective outcomes in future period.
