INTRODUCTION
Individual learner can seems to be more needs boosts with morale and encourage for
working. This could also helps to many learners for understanding and make the grasp for
educational concepts. This report explain about the responsibilities and difference between
coach, teacher or mentor in relation to working with the individual students. Along with their
effectiveness of coaching, teaching and mentoring roles for meeting over the individual learning
needs. Moreover, this discuss about the strategies that meets for having the needs for individual
learners and resources that are required for having multi-agency approaches. Also, explain about
the factor which influences the referral process and process which involves in the one-to-one
coaching, teaching and mentoring for intellectual, emotional and social benefits for students.
Finally, examined about the effectiveness with own practices and strength and area for having
improvement in relation with learning and teaching situation. Plan for having better improving
opportunities with own skills one-to-one learning and teaching situation.
TASK 1 REPORT
Responsibilities of coach, mentor and teacher
Coaching an individual helps in aiming to attain better performance from that individual.
A coach will work in finding out the best in individuals and tell them the different ways to
handle their problems by finding out effective solutions. Coaches carefully use the mix of
communication and related techniques. The main aim behind the coaching process is to improve
the working and learning performance of an individual. A coach takes the already existing skills
of an individual and builds them in order to enhance them to generate the best from these
individuals. The responsibilities of coach is to make the focus of the discussion in a clear goal.
They work with the individuals to recognise their goals (Raposa, and et.al, 2019). They produce
new ways of thinking which helps in exploring possibilities. Addition to this, the responsibilities
of a coach also includes giving feedbacks in a constructive manner by asking questions and
listening to the given responses.
The responsibilities of mentor includes establishing the goals and objectives of an
individual and their relations with other things. Mentors are required to take initiatives which
will help in allowing an individual to keep up to the responsibility which will lead to their
growth, development and the planning of career. Mentors commit to foster the relation for some

amount of time while committing to the individual on regular basis but not during the learning
time as well as more than one hour. Mentors are required to actively listen to the individuals and
offer honest, frank and constructive feedbacks of their work.
The responsibilities of a teacher is to plan and prepare the assigned courses and lectures.
They conduct the assigned classes at given time period and demonstrate the competence in the
instruction given for a classroom. Teachers help in implementing and designing the yearly
curriculum in the given amount of time. Along with the the responsibilities of a teacher when
working with individuals include planning, designing and implementing some effective
management practices and strategies which will help for the development of individual learners.
Difference between coach, mentor and teacher
There are variety of roles in informal and formal context both. These roles help in
supporting the learning of an individual. Good teachers, coaches and mentors come from wide
range of different backgrounds which share and differentiate few characteristics in their roles.
All the three have immense respect for the individuals under them. They work to help the
individual attain its desired goals and objectives. They all share the same growing mindset in the
process. Teaching is very well known among the people which helps others to learn. Teachers
are the experts which are ready to impart knowledge to the individuals. The role of teacher is
identify the importance of the process of learning which is also closely related to the coaching.
Teachers are supposed to be a great source for motivating skills with the help of long term as
well as short term motivational techniques. The role of mentors in some what in between the
coaches and teachers.
Mentors are experts in their related areas but do not perform the formal role of a teacher.
Coaching is the process which describes the model of coach as a facilitator. A coach is never an
expert on the matter of subject under consideration however, they are specialised in helping
individuals to recognise their potential when compared to others. Individuals have the idea that
they only have the key to their desired success and there is no need for someone from outside to
come and tell them this. Coaching can be used within the house and in a informal way to make
the individuals learn better and become more comfortable. The role of coaching is used to
instruct and train the individuals while that of a mentor is to provide counsel and guidance to
these individuals. Coaching is mainly about an active pursuit which helps by providing certain
