INTRODUCTION Learning and teaching is a lifelong process which goes hand in hand. While teaching is importing of knowledge and skills by a coach, teacher or mentor; learning involves gaining of these skills and qualities (Yeldham and Gruba, 2016). In order to propagate a good learning, there must be an effective interaction and relationship between student and his mentor or coach. The report will lay emphasis on difference in coaching and mentoring and roles and responsibilities of a mentor with effectiveness of goals. Various strategies and resources are identified. Various consulting agencies are identified and the reflection on mentoring role has been presented with an action plan. TASK 1 a) Differences between coaching and mentoring and summarize responsibilities Mentoring and coaching are quite interrelated processes. However, there are some differences that impact operations in a deep way. Some major differences between coaching and mentoring are: MentoringCoaching Mentoringisalongterm,supportiveand improving relationship between an experienced mentor and less experienced mentee. It is used to manage the career transition. Coaching is an activity or support taken by an individual when he/ she need s to require his/ herprofessionalcapabilityforcontinuous development of skills. It is mentor's duty to look after performance management targets and achieve them in a better way. Itinvolvespeer-to-peercommunicationand helps individuals to get objective feedback on strengths and weaknesses (Grey, Williams and Rebuschat, 2015). The knowledge is been passed out to mentee and regular assessment has been performed by mentor to identify the scope of improvement. A coach provides professional advice to an individual that help in good rise in student's satisfaction and professional skill level. As mentor it would be my responsibility to provide my mentee with proper guidance and actions that will help in improving compatibility and meeting of targeted goals and actions that will aid in effective rise in students or mentee's effectiveness and efficiency. 1
b) Reflection Mentoring is a time-oriented task which requires regular assessment of student's work and actions in order to identify his/her qualities and strong points. It requires extensive experience and patience to work with a less experienced person. I will play a key role in professional and personal development of their mentee's. The personal delivering of knowledge and skills to students also helps in enriching my personal knowledge and skills.In addition, it helped me to interact with various types of people and improved my social exposure. Being on a senior position, I have privileges to increase and motivate the development of an individual in better manner. The proper encouragement and better planning of imparting of knowledge will help in rise in mutual understanding between a mentor and mentee. They can act as sponsor, teacher, supporter and advisor and look after better development of individual person. Other than this, leadership skills showcased by me will encourage and motivate student or an individual person to achieve its marked objectives and aims at work place (Baldwin, Omdal and Pereles, 2015.). Other than this, as a mentor I will look after rectification and removal of dislikes and misbeliefs that can impact effective planning of goals and objectives for my mentee. TASK 2 a) Strategies and resources to help student A wide range of strategies and actions will be taken in consideration by individual that will help in growth in effectiveness of mentor as well as mentee. Certain strategies and resources that are taken in thought process are: Being a good example:As a mentor, I will try my best to be a good and effective example for my mentee's to motivate them for performing better at work place. I will show case the traits of excellence, professionalism and work ethics that will make me an accomplishedmentor.Besidesthis,Iwillmonitornegativityandimprovethe professionalism of students or mentee's under me (Grey, Williams and Rebuschat, 2015). Problem solving strategies:I will follow problem-solving strategies that will help me to address mentee's personal and professional problems that will support to ensure his better growth and development. I will also look after rectification and eradication of issues that will inhibit mentee's, mine or organisational growth and development. 2

Effective planning will help in improving the effectiveness and efficiency of a person at the workplace.
