Theme:3 Discussion of the impacts of digital age on an organization:
Meske and Junglas, (2021) shared the views that the digitalization has been one of the
biggest driver to the organization. With the progress of time the digitalization is softly making
place in almost all types of organizations. They are now somehow got driven to impart bigger
changes in their way of working so can bring better outcomes. Furthermore, some views were
also shared on the present needs of workplace transformation.
Specifically, in last couple of years the prevailing circumstances compelled businesses so
inculcate such operations. Covid-19 came as an alarming notion it made companies believe in
digital tools and application. Workplace is now more likely to adopt changes, and they can not
run operations with traditional approaches with proper efficiency.
According to Mićić, et al. (2022) digitalization is not so often to be seen at workplace. From
recording attendance to communication, from training to suggestion and feedbacks all these tasks
are being performed with the help of digital tools and applications. Organizations can not keep
their steps back when it comes to workplace transformation. They are now systematically
compelled to do so. The modern age is driving organizations to work using digital tools and
entities who are engaged in such dynamic business realms can not avoid this type of
transformation.
If an organization is avoiding to make such changes then would not remain competitive
in such drastically shifting market. There are number of competitors are working in the
surrounding environment with their unique set of knowledge and understanding so in such
predicaments an entity is more likely to practice some organizational changes on its workplace.
Attaran, Attaran and Kirkland, (2019) At the same time it becomes now moral duty of
organizations too, besides digitalization the market is experiencing hyper competition where
range of new entrants are ready to make entry, and they are penetrating the market, in such
predicaments for an organization the only way to be lucrative is to fabricate better practises so
can eradicate all taboo which may bring horrendous repercussions to them in near future. On the
other hands, digitalization also makes these transformations easy, cheaper and feasible.
Form the literature review above it can be summarized that for the present organizations
including Broadswords event house like organizations it is near to impossible to be stagnant.

Chapter 3: Methodology
3.1 Research Approach
This is the stage where some broad assumptions are taken into consideration for the
purpose of fulfilment of research. It can be divided mainly in three kinds- Deductive, Inductive
and abductive. In this research we have used inductive approach of research. It is quite helpful in
fabrication of theories and here some broad observations are made in order to draft a formal
conclusion in form of generalized idea. The research would be kept as qualitative since the data
is to be collected using primary sources in qualitative form which was found the most suitable
one to carry out this research (Berndt, 2020)
3.2 Research Methods
There are two main methods of data or information collected. Primary and secondary
sources are used. Primary are the sources where the information is directly collected form
respondents in attempt to carry out the research. This type of data would be used very first time
by the researcher itself (Žukauskas, Vveinhardt and Andriukaitienė, 2018) On the other hands
there is secondary data sources too. Where the data is already collected by someone else, and for
our research this data is used. For keeping the quality of research higher both sources of data
collected or methods are used in a balanced manner. The rationale behind selection of qualitative
data was to ensure that the aim of this research must be fulfilled to apex level.
3.3 Research Methodology
In this research a well-articulated methodology has been followed. There are two types of
research philosophy which is a set of belief which guides the way which has to be used in order
to execute the research. Here, interpretivism philosophy is used, this mainly focus on the
subjective aspect and experience in order to reflect final outcomes. At the same time before
moving to these results some other dimensions such as other philosophies were also given full
attention so can bring the best practise for research.
3.4 Research Instruments
There are multiple types or instruments for such research such as Thematic and
Statistical. These instruments are having their great importance when it comes to the quality
profitable in the market. At the same time, the unforeseen circumstances such as Covid-19 are
also making them bring changes.

factor. In this research the thematic instrument has been used where the collected data, facts,
figures and final outcomes had been presented in thematic manner (Hürlimann, 2019) It is found
that this instrument is quite suitable in such research since it paves way for fetching flexible and
unsupervised approach to the organization. These tools have helped to articulate and present the
final outcomes of this research in more affective and receptive manner.
3.5 Sampling
Sampling is the process where form the population a minute segment is taken which
represents entire population. It is not always easy to execute study on the entire population due to
time, cost and resources constraints so with this regard, it becomes inevitable need to draw
samples and this process is known as sampling. The all employees of the company were
population and In this research report 30 employees had been taken of Broadsword Event House
(Cr, 2020) For picking the samples randomized technique was taken into consideration. In
randomized technique the all units of population is having same probability to get selected. So by
applying randomized sampling technique the respondents were taken out. The all 30 participants
were given complete freedom and in this sampling biasses factor was also taken into
consideration.
3.6 Ethical Implications
While conducting the research it was mainly accentuated that the all ethical norms and
terms must be applied. With this regard, some actions were taken to ensure higher level of ethics
in this research work. For instance, all the participants were given full authority to make
participation by their own will, and they may take their steps back at any stage. On the other
hands, the all information and data they are providing would be kept confidential, so they can not
be cited responsible for anything (Mohajan, 2018) The privacy policy laid down by the state has
been abided to the fullest extent. For a researcher it is their ethical duty to suggest the areas of
improvement and also helping other researchers who want to explore in the same field. With this
respect, at the end of this research it was also presented that which areas can be explored for
further improvement.

changes. Workplace is becoming highly dynamic and entities like Broadsword event house
which is a giant event management company and offering its services in range of markets so for
such organization it becomes inevitable need to work on workplace transformation.
Recommendation Implications for further research
The research is revealing that the contribution of workplace transformation helps to
employees in argumentation of their skills and efficiency. In this report all the associated aspects
were evaluated and a broad picture has been presented. Keeping these all things in mind, it can
be suggested that Broadsword event management company is still having need to work on its
policies. The workplace transformation should not be guided by the external factors rather there
is need to make it guided by internal policies (Newman and Gough, 2020) At the same time,
there are wide number of employees are engaged with this even entity so can not avoid the fact
that for staying competitive the organization is supposed to be hyper inclined to change
adoptions and getting its employees ready to abide with changes. The company may adopt
more focus on better quality of work (Mingaleva and Shironina, 2021). During pandemic it has

competitive advantage approach in order to be lasted for longer and ensuring its longevity in
term of profitability in the market. Besides the fact that the majority of employees have shown
their agreement with the raised notion yet there was some employee who were not agreed with
the prevailing practise so such issues can be addressed (Rinjit, 2020)
In this research the survey was conducted so it is suggested that for further research some
other methods can be used which may hike the final outcomes. At the same time, this research
was conducted on only 30 employees of the organization so for better results this sample size can
be widened. For making future research more reliable new ethical codes can be imparted yet it
would be fair to say that in this research apex level of ethical practise was ensured. When it
comes to data analysis then thematic approach was practised so can present information in more
interesting way but in future some other approaches may also help the researchers. In this
research a greater outlook has bee presented so which can be used as an deeper implication for
further digging and hiking the research outcomes.
There are number of process to carry out research but in this process there has been some
issues such as collection of responses and then their processing so some better processes can be
there. In this research the biggest issue was availability of time and cost factor so it is
recommended that while carrying out research the potential researchers are suggested to use
secondary sources to the fullest extent.
