INTRODUCTION
The company is incorporated for achieving the goals and objectives but in order to
achieve these objectives, it is necessary that the management should take effective measures and
motivate the employees so that they can effectively contribute in the achieving the goals .With
the changes in the business environment it is necessary to plan the strategies and make changes
keeping in mind the needs and of the employees and accordingly bring effective changes in the
company(Akpoviroro, and Owotutu, 2018). The report covers is segregated in two parts . First
part covers the role of leadership that exist in the ZPG and also how the structure and culture
can support effective transitional change. Second part highlights the ways in which ZPG can
build effective teams through motivation an also identification of the team development
attributes.

Question-1
Role of leadership
Leadership refers to the ability of an individual to influence and guide the followers or
any other members of the company and also to motivate in achieving the goals and objectives of
the company. In order to achieve the desired objective, leader should have effective skill and
knowledge that helps in building effective relationship that the managers of the ZPG should have
strong communication and management skills through which they can easily coordinate with
their subordinates. They also should possess innovative and creative thinking skills in order to
bring change within the company which can helps in achieving the desired goals and
objective(Khan, and Wajidi, 2019). The leader of ZPG should communicate about the plans and
policies to their subordinates and also motivate the employees by rewarding for their
performance which will boost the morale of the employees and they will effectively work in
accomplishing the goals and objectives of the organisation.
Role of the leadership
 Communicator: It is very important for a leader to have strong communication skills
that helps in interacting with the team members and other members of the organisation.
The leader of ZPG should be a good communicator that coordinate with the
subordinates and other team members and can help in resolving the issues.

 Strategist: The leader should have the capability and find strategic ways to manage the
project which can help the company to meet their goals and objectives. The leader of
ZPG should be capable to analyse the strategies and discuss with their team members
which will help as guidance for the employees which will benefit the company.
 Representative of the company: The role of the leader that is manager is to represent
on the behalf of the organisation and present in seminars conference and meetings etc.
The leader of the ZPG should effectively represent on behalf of the company and also
the department which they lead. Friend philosopher and guide: The leader of the ZPG should have the required
characteristic which helps in moving towards achieving the goals and objectives of the
company. As a friend they can share their feeling and thoughts with their subordinates
which help in building effective communication and create effective relationship
between manager and employee. As a philosopher, they can use their intelligence and
experience to in to effectively executing the task and get positive outcomes(Iskamto,
2020). The leader can also act as guide and gave direction to the employees when
performing the task which can highlight their role a guide and also helps in motivating
the subordinates to effectively move towards achieving the objectives.
Situational leadership theory states that no leadership style is effective but it depends upon the
the strategies and style that is used by the managers which also suits the task. The leaders of the
ZPG should be effective so that they can adopt the best leadership style according to the situation
and find ways accordingly to perform the task in effective manner. The leaders at ZPG decided
to bring the some changes in the employees benefit strategy s they think that are the best ways to
keep the employees motivated and engaged at the workplace. The management created strategy
in order provide financial benefit to the employees and also supported financially of the the
personal development of the employees(Demircioglu, and Chowdhury, 2021). In order to
improve the well being of the employees they can make positive and favourable working
environment at the workplace which helps in engaging the employees in their work. ZPG can
also focus on the well being of the employees and provide the employees with gym facilities
and yoga classes. It depends upon the leader and managers of ZPG to effectively implement
such strategies which can help in building positive work culture and also help in motivating the
employees to contribute towards achieving the objectives of the company.

Organisational structure
An organisational structure is defined as the system that highlights the certain activities
that are directed for achieving the goals and objectives of the company. It also determines the
flow of information within the company. The effective organisational structure will help the
company to make various transitional changes which can affect the overall functioning of the
company. In order to effectively implement the changes within the company, ZPG can use the
horizontal or flat organisational structure where the management can include the staff and
employees in their decision making process which will help in identifying the needs and
requirements that is to be done which helps in enhancing the knowledge of the employees and
also helps in achieving the goals and objectives of the company(Mansouri, et.al, 2018). With the
application of flat organisational structure gives the responsibilities to the employees. It can also
increase the communication in the company which can help in making effective decision in order
to successfully implement the changes within the company which can benefit both the employees
as well as the organisation(Triguero-Sánchez, et.al, 2018). In order to implement the right and
effective strategies that can be related to the employee benefit , ZPG should focus on
considering various structure and also analyse the effective organisational structure which can be
helpful in implementing effective changes in the company.
Culture of the organisation
Organisational culture is defined as the values , beliefs, assumptions and ways of
interacting within the organisation. Every company has different organisational culture.
Organisational structure is very important for the leadership. With the effective organisational
structure will help in better implementation of plans and strategies by the managers. There are
various factors that can influence the organisational structure that the organisational structure of
the company, systems , values and traditions of the company and also the behaviour and attitude
of the employees in the company. It is important for the manager of ZPG to make various
changes in the organisational structure as it can help in building communication among the
employees and they can effectively coordinate and understand the culture in the company which
can help in better coordination and also help in achieving the goals effectively(Goulandris,
2020). The management of the company can use various approaches for creatine favourable
organisational culture in the company. ZPG can use Handy culture theory. The theory is divided
into Four types of culture that is Power culture, Task culture, person and role culture. The

manager can apply the task culture in which the organisation can divide the employees in various
teams and delegate the task in order to achieve the targets by solving the problems. The
employees can be divided in the teams which focus on achieving on main objectives which helps
in increasing the communication among the employees and also help in bringing various changes
within the company by collaborating in the teams and achieve the target(Spicer, 2020). The
company has made strategies in order to bring changes in the employee benefit strategy this can
only be achieved through evaluating and understanding the capabilities and efficiency of the
employees and then plan strategies accordingly for effective implementation of the strategies in
the organisation. The manager can also implement the role culture where the manager can
delegate the roles and responsibilities to the employees as per their knowledge and experience so
that they can put their efforts in the achievement of the target. In this type of culture the
employees can decide the best way to achieve the target and accept the challenge to perform the
task effectively.
With the application of effective leadership style, the manager of ZPG can effectively
implement the strategy that can help the organisation to motivate the employees and also
achievement of the target effectively. It is necessary for the manager to communicate with their
subordinates which can help in sharing ideas and opinions which can be helpful in taking
decisions for the achievement of the goals of the company(Janićijević, et.al, 2018). It is
important to maintain positive and favourable organisational culture where the manager
delegated the responsibilities to the employees as per their capabilities which an help the
employees to find best ways in performing the task and contributes towards achieving the
objectives of the company. With the help of this the management can successfully make changes
that can help in long term sustainability in the market and also helps to bring effective changes in
the company.

The model illustrates five stages for the development of groups. The Tuckman's Model focuses
how the team will tackle the tasks or project from the initial stage to the completion stage. It
focuses on the team building within short term and analyse their behaviour. The five stages of the
Tuckman's model are Forming, Storming, Norming, Performing and Adjourning.
Through, its process, the actions of the people are stimulated in order to achieve the goals of the
organization. It is an internal process which is linked to the needs of the individual for well being
or sustainability in life. It a dynamic process also because with the motives of a person changes
from time to time.
In order to motivate the employees, the researchers have developed many theories one of such
theory that is widely used in organizations and in ZPG as well that is Maslow's Need Hierarchy
Theory
. As per this theory, the needs of the employees should be fulfilled in hierarchical order. It covers
up all the need which makes an employee fully satisfied. The needs are Physiological Needs,
Safety Needs, Love and belonging needs, Esteem Needs and Self actualization Needs.
Team Effectiveness
Effective quality maintains the performance of the employees and increases the satisfaction of
the members. Highly motivated and encouraged team members willingly work with the team and
try to achieve the outcomes. An effective team will always ensure attainment of goals and growth
of the organization and team members individually. There are various models which ensures the
effectiveness in teams and the members because successful teams help in adapting the marketing
changes, achieving goals, maintaining the decorum, etc.

There are many ways which ZPG should adapt to motivate the team members individually and
professionally and build an effective team. The effective team building will directly lead to the
goals attainments and higher motivation level among the employees, thus the employees
turnover will be less and the tasks and projects will be completed on time.
Team Events : Outings, office parties with the team members help the team leads to interact and
develop a good relationship with them. This will help in understanding the behaviour and needs
of the members thus easier for the leaders to motivate them.
Bonuses : This is a type of monetary motivation that encourages the employees to work more
and quicker. Paying bonuses with the salary will increase the working capacity of the employees.
Flexible Working Hours : Every team members have different potential and capacity to work,
thus ZPG should provide the members with the flexibility in the working hours. This will
increase the working capacity and timely completion of the tasks.
Providing five days work : ZPG should develop five days work only to the team members and
weekends for the rest, this will motivate the employees because of their stress management and
work life balance.
Health Insurance Premiums : ZPG should provide the members and employees with the health
facility of paying insurance premiums on behalf of the employees and members.
Rewards and Recognition
Rewards and recognition encourages the employees as they'll be appraised in front of all
members thus it will satisfy his esteem needs.

To develop an effective team and motivate the employees, the strategies used by the ZPG are :
Celebrating Achievements and Milestones : To motivate the team members in long term and
complicated projects, ZPG initiated the programs of celebrating smaller milestones and
encouraging the employees to stay focused and work. Employees should be rewarded with
gratitude and financial incentives, day off, to keep them motivated.
Profit Sharing Programs : ZPG offered the team members and employees by providing them with
the stake in the capital of the organization. These motivated and encouraged the employees as
after getting hike in their earnings they were feeling accomplished thus improving the
performance and controlling the turnover rate.
Providing Feedbacks to the Employees : ZPG's managers and team leaders motivated the
employees by giving feedbacks and appreciation for the tasks and the work performed such as
Nice work, Well explained the presentation — this will improve our organization value, etc. This
will boost the confidence in the employees to work efficiently

TO achieve higher success in the organization, the ZPG should focus on building effective and
contributed teams who work dedicatedly towards the achievement of common goals of the
organization. The successful and effective teams work with focus and sense of achievement of
the shared objectives. For the management of ZPG, it is necessary to develop the attributes in
effective team building as developing new tasks and projects
Clear and Defined Roles : The team members of the ZPG must be clearly specified about their
role and function they have to perform. The team members should respect and understand the
role of other team members to maintain transparency among them.
No Communication Gap : The team leaders should develop an open communication with the
team members this will help them to share ideas, opinions, discuss the progress and any
problems. Management should respect the ideas and opinions of the team members this will
develop a sense of respect and trust between the team leaders.
Shared Accountability : Building trust and loyalty among the employees and the team members
will develop a sense of sharing accountability among the management. This will ensure
supportive environment for the employees. It creates a mutual problem solving attitude among
the employees and avoiding blame game and finer pointing.
A good leader will ensure transparency and proper communication with the members. It is the
responsibility of the leader to guide and assist the members and support them.

considered all the approaches of leadership and culture of the ZPG which is required to be
analysed for managing effective transitional change. For the change, it focused on the inclusive
benefit and holistic strategies.
