INTRODUCTION
The report aims to analyse the importance of emotional intelligence which should be present in
every employee (Moroń, and Biolik-Moroń, 2021). This shows that, there is requirement of
thinking ability which makes an individual’s strong and develop a positive mind-set. This report
is going to showcases personal experience and reflection towards self-emotional abilities.
TASK
1. In own experience, I have engaged in many tasks during my job role which requirement
intelligence. When I was working as a team leader, I get to handle my team and make
them guide about the tasks and activities. This shows that, it is beneficial to promote
emotional abilities while taking responsibilities of team members. Sometimes, I get quite
frustrated and de motivated due to workplace politics and complex working environment.
I was not able to encourage my self-awareness due to a lot of pressure. I was not able to
take the things in positive way when the deadlines do not get meet. Positive influence is
one of the key skills present in Geno’s model that needs to be implement in the
workplace (Issah, 2018). Due to lack of positive mind-set, my team members was also
not able to meet the work criteria that made us difficult to complete the projects. This
experience taught me about the importance of emotional intelligence while working with
people and groups. As I failed in meeting my deadlines, I get under confident on my own
capabilities which effects on my both personal and professional life.
2. By analysing one of the most important skills from the Geno’s model, positive mind-set
helps a person to influence others in solving problems, working with utmost dedication
and resolve queries for smooth functioning. This skill will help in thinking with a broader
perspective and find nothing impossible. It will help me in my professional practice to
achieve my career goals (Wen, Huang, and Hou, 2019). I will be able to guide my team
in an effective way and meet with work deadlines through making a positive mind-set. It
will be beneficial to reduce obstacles and work with collaborative efforts to achieve
professionals aims. Hence, there is need for empowering others in current workplace
situation where organisation facing skills shortage. So that, with a positive mind-set, I can
make others work towards organisational goals.

CONCLUSION
The report has identified that, emotional intelligence is crucial in every phase of life. some
of the most important skills i.e. positive mind-set found to be effective in future professional
practice.
