INTRODUCTION
Most of the organisations working in the contemporary business culture are having their focus on
to maximise their revenues and turnover (Shattock, 2010). It creates needs in them to increase
the use of the managers which are having a grip on the management and having strength to
manage their teams as per the needs of the organisation. Leaders also have to be effective for a
company to provide proper guideline and business policy for organisation. It is essential for the
company to manage their employees and activities to manage their revenues according to the last
year. An organisation can be successful by attaining their goals and targets in the pre decided
time limits. They have to make their focus on the skills which are having their employees and
use them to manage profitability in the organisation. The present report is based on the Charlotte
Street Hotel which is situated in the London and they believe to provide proper customer
assistance and satisfaction to the customers. The organisation wants to increase their market
share and want to create a relation with the people and citizens of the London. So they are having
target on the Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR) so they are having a target to their society
to provide them more benefits from them. This report is containing details on the objectives of
the hotel for CSR, action plan and Gantt chart to implement their CSR in the actualization.
Quantitative and qualitative data methods can be useful for the hotel to analyse the needs of the
society.

Background of the study:
CSR is referred to be one of the most important consideration of almost all sort of
organisations these days. Wherein, it directly tends to support the establishments to attain a
contending benefit in the market with a successful implementation of CSR. This is basically to
survive into the intensified state of competition in the market. For which, it is duly essential for
the enterprises to make a prime understanding of CSR and its importance (Asif, Searcy, Zutshi
and Fisscher, 2013). In addition to which, CSR is together anticipated to benefit the affiliated
stakeholders of an organisation with a principle benefit to the employees. The present study is

carried to acknowledge the CSR activities of a chosen SME organisation named Charlotte Street
Hotel as a way of acknowledging the way in which they tend to enforce it in their day to day
operations.
Herein, Charlotte Street Hotel in context to fulfil their CSR responsibilities are referring
to develop 5 special rooms for handicapped people. It is with a fundamental consideration of
accessing them wheelchairs and other requisite accommodative amenities. It is where such
effective measures of CSR is also evident to assist the firms in a prime attainment of competitive
advantage in the market (Flammer, 2015). Beside this, being into the industry of hospitality, they
are also required to correspond with continual changes taking place in the market as a way of
meeting the changing preferences of the users. In whose context, such resourceful CSR activities
are best to aid the enterprises in accomplishing such considerate goals.
Aim: To develop 5 rooms of the hotel that caters for handicapped people with access for
wheelchairs and other facilities in the accommodation- A Study on Charlotte Street Hotel in UK.

A work break down structure is a key project which helps in delivering and organizing
the team work into different manageable sections. It aid in delivering the oriented as a
hierarchical decomposition of the work so that they can execute the proper plan by the project
team. A work break down structure is used for breaking down the project into the different
components as well as managing in the nature. This process of breakdown helps in making easy
project. The owner of Charlotte street hotel along with the manager of the company who are
allotting the different complex projects so that they can manage properly. This structure helps in
proper designing so that they can break their projects into the manageable chunks so that they
can supervised and estimated (Weill and Woerner, 2015). This structure can used by them and it
includes the different steps. It is a process which helps in project estimation so that they can
convert the documents into the different level of the requirements. When this process break

research by primary research in which they have to form the collected data like research subjects
or experiments so that they can collect the data. Qualitative analysis is the scientific study of the
data and information that can be observed but can not be measured. By this they can measure the
qualities of the projects. Quantitative analysis is the study of data so that they can measure the
different data and the quantities of the distinct categories of the data and information (Lager,
2016). Quantitative research helps in defining and identifying and the data should be produced in
the numerical way. Along with this they have to analyse by using different statistical as well as
mathematical methods. There are different sources of quantitative data which can be used by

2013). Deductive and inductive are the major two categories of research approach and in
the present research study, researcher has used inductive approach and this has been used
because it involves several patterns for search which aids researcher to develop valid and
feasible outcomes by considering different patterns of hypothesis. Research philosophy: It comprises of various dimensions that helps the research to carry
out the study in feasible manner; hence prior selecting the paradigm researcher has taken
much care of these aspects (Panneerselvam, 2014). The categories of research philosophy
are Positivism, Interpretivism, Realism and Pragmatism. In the present study, researcher
has selected Interpretivism philosophy as it is useful in integrating human interest into the
research study. The main aim of using this approach is that it helps researcher to
emphasize on meanings and at the same time, numerous other methods can also be used
in a particular study (Mangal and Mangal, 2013). Research design: This basically shows a specific plan that needs to be included in the
research work so as to carry out the entire study in effectual manner. In the present
research study, exploratory design has been selected as it allows the researcher to involve

sub methods in the study while conducting it. Further, it is highly useful in getting
towards the final conclusion of the research (Silverman, 2016). Similarly, researcher can
also change the way through which a specific study can be carried out; hence necessary
modification can be made while carrying out the study. Data collection: In order to collect data for the present research study, researcher has
used both primary and secondary sources because use of both the methods are helpful in
enhancing success aspects of the study. The categories of data collection are split into
two types such as primary and secondary and both have been used in the subsequent
research work. Books, journals and articles are being reviewed in the study so that to
analyse the feasibility of the research topic (Tavakoli, 2012). On the other hand, under
primary source, researcher has conducted survey in which employees of Charlotte hotel
are being selected and they are also provided questionnaire so that they can specify their
responses about the subject matter. Therefore, it can be said that both the methods are
quiet suitable for the present research work. Data analysis: Data analysis section shows how researcher interprets and evaluates the
data and in the present study, researcher has made use of Qualitative design in which
Thematic analysis is being considered. Each and every theme is being discussed in
detailed manner; hence this also helped in framing valid conclusion (Taylor, Bogdan and
DeVault, 2015). Qualitative technique is being used so as to showcase each and every
aspect of the research in suitable manner. Along with this, charts and diagrams are being
used so as to showcase the responses collected from the participants.
 Ethical consideration: Ethical aspects are required to be considered in the research study
as that highly impacts the effectiveness of research work. Hence, in the present research
study, researcher has ensured not to disclose the information about participants as that
lies under ethical requirements (Vaioleti, 2016). Further, at the same time, collected data
is protected in secured database so that only authorised person can access the data. At the
same time, consent has been obtained from the particamts prior including them in
research procedure. Furthermore, while collecting data researcher ensured that only
relevant and appropriate sources are being utilized.

P6 Communicate appropriate recommendations as a result of research and data analysis to draw
conclusion
It is vital for Charlotte hotel to develop rooms for handicapped people and along with
that, specific services should be there in the hotel. Including various services for the handicapped
people can help the hotel to promote the services and that could also enhance the ratio of
customer satisfaction (Odularu and Bankole, 2006). Since, most of the handicapped people do
not have much opportunities of employment; hence Charlotte hotel must have to ensure that
affordable rooms are there for the customers so that they can afford buying it. Furthermore, there
must be prominent services for such people like availability of wheelchairs and other accessories
which could aid handicapped people to move from one place to another. In this way,
handicapped people could also recommend the services to other customer segments.
Apart from this, Charlotte hotel needs to focus on market scenario, so that demand level
can be assumed simultaneously. This is also crucial in terms of analysing the hotels that are
coming up with the same services socially for handicapped people (Nield and et.al., 2012).
Charlotte hotel must have to focus on pricing element as that has a direct impact on demand;
further this can also help consumers to promote the services on higher extent. Thus, overall
competency and capability of the business can be enhanced accordingly.
Proper accommodation services includes food and other amenities which should exist in

Normann, 2013). Further, the rooms should be appropriately clean and precisely it must have all
the services which is given to other customers. Staff members must be trained in this respect so
that they can deliver the best services to the clients according to their needs. Moreover, huge
concern should be given towards necessities of handicapped people; thus all the rooms should be
well equipped with necessary devices (Medelik and Ingram, 2000).

It is essential for the company to make their proper analysis on the market to create their
activities for the target people. As the hotel wants to develop CSR to provide more benefits by
their side so they have to makes their focus on the people which are living in the London.

Qualitative data is mostly containing the views and thoughts of the writer. Most of the qualitative
data are written in the words. So I personally believe that it can provide knowledge about the
topics and research but it has a lesser accuracy. It can be useful for an overview of a topic but if
an organisation wants to make plan and wants to analyse markets they have to use quantitative
data. It can provide a data in the numerical factors which can be helpful for the organisations
which are creating a plan for their future strategy (Jeston and Nelis, 2014). As the Charlotte
Street Hotel wants to accomplish corporate social responsibility for the society, according to me
it is essential for the hotel to use both methods. Personally I believe that qualitative data method
can be useful for the organisation to analyse the needs of the people. Questions which are asked
by the hotel’s employees have to be effective and targeting otherwise it can be less impact full
for the organisations objectives. Employees which are involved in this process have to be
communicative and they have to carry analysing potentials in them to make proper analysis of
the customers and targeted society. Qualitative data method is effective if the organisation use
their best employees which are having communication, focus, quick analysis skills in them.
Preparation is also a need for the qualitative methods, personally I believe that questions are
having power to generate more accurate and appropriate revert from the target customers and
audience. As we are having many talented and skilled employees in the organisation our
managers have to use the best employee in this process to find out appropriate results as per the
needs of the organisation and as well as they have to provide their guidance to be more effective
to provide more benefits to the society by the acts of the hotels. As we are working in the
organisation we have to create many types of researches in the markets which help to us to be
more communicative with the target audience. It increases our analysing power to people and
judgmental skills to judge people in the market. So now we are able to perform a market analysis
in any conditions, but it is essential before create a market analysis, people from which we are
collecting data have to be authentic because it can affect on our results. Research process is not
developed by the organisation so they have to make proper management plan on it, it helps to us
to make expenses accordingly. So it helps us to manage cost effectiveness in it.
