INTRODUCTION
Employability skills is a set of transferable achievements, understanding and personal
attributes that aid an individual to enhance its skills in order to achieve more likely employment
and to be successful in the chosen skills. Timbacourt is the retail manufacture firm of high-end
fashion clothes for men and women. This company has secured the prime site within the
Westfield Shopping center in west London. In lieu of which they have intend to develop a
flagship store in United Kingdom. Therefore, the following report emphasis on the various types
of employability skills required in an organization in order to expand its business as online
business. In this report recruitment, selection and training process and methods are discussed
which in turn will aid the organization to select a right person for the right post required in the
start up of new store. In this report various times management strategies are also discussed. At
last various tools and methods are used in order to solve the various problems arises at the time
of start up of new business.
Task 1
1.1 A set of responsibilities for the achievement of desired objectives.
In order to prioritize the set of responsibility; an HR manager should first set its own
responsibilities. After which he should determine the personal responsibility, direct and indirect
relationship & adaptability of an individual to learn and develop a work role (Bohlander and
Snell, 2006). After which an HR manager to set the employment legislation, business ethics and
employment rights and responsibilities in order to achieve the company desired target. Therefore,
in order to set the performance objectives HR manager should make an individual appraisal
system. Performance appraisal of an individual can be conducted by analyzing the individual
performance, its capabilities, behavior, training needs and strength and weakness of every
individual. This appraisal is normally done by the team leader or supervisor. Performance
objective can also be set by analyzing the working environment. In this supervisor need to
examine the motivation level of the individuals and the area where they are lacking behind.
Therefore, set of own and others responsibilities and performance objective an HR manager will
be able to assist the Timbacourt company to easily achieve its set objective (i.e. expansion of
business).

HR has responsibilities to design an effective training and development program to
provide work based knowledge to the customers and enhance their skills and knowledge. This in
turn, workers will be more able to serve best srevices to the customer and enlarge Timbacourt's
profitability. So that workers will be highly able to complete the allotted work within set time.
Further, HR has to design various policies, rules and regulations to manage their staff effectively.
In addition to it. HR has responsibilities to assess workers performance and motivate and reward
their employees. For this, various performance evaluation programe can be designed and
implemented effectively in the organization. In this, personnel who has given best services must
be rewarded through monetary and non-monetary awards. While, adverse performance must be
neglected through re-designed training and development program. Further, HR has responsibility
to listen their staff problems and handle out effectively.
1.2 effectiveness of an HR manager against defined objectives
HR manager has various powers against the achievement of defined objectives of the
Timbacourt Company. HR manager has the right to select the various person for the various post
developed at the time of starting up of new store. HR manager conduct the recruitment and
selection process in order to find out the right person for the right post. Once a person is selected
than training needs of employees who are recruited for the job. Training needs of every
individual is identifying by knowing its strength and weakness (Consultancy, 2007). Moreover,
HR manager is also liable to set the various goals, handle the working of the organization and
manage the inflow and outflow of the cash from the organization.
At the initial stage, Timbacourt's HR should conduct a test of all the persons. The
marking criteria for the test should be developed so that person's ability can be judge in an
effective manner. After that, person who have been founded able should be selected. Selection
should be done on the basis of person's ability. After it, employee's training and development
need must be satisified throgh conducting an training and development program. It will help to
enhance worker's skills and their performance as well. Furthermore, worker's should be
motivated regularly through various motivational theories.

consider the various Motivational techniques which are as follows:-
Create a positive working environment:- HR manager should make an attempt to create
a positive working environment where an individual is performing the various task (Gatewood,
Feild and Barrick, 2010). This in turn will aid the company to improve the quality of
performance of every individual.
Make expectation clear: - Supervisor should make expectation clear. Supervisor should
try to properly communicate to the individual employee what an organization need from them
and what are the company expectation from them.

Believe in employee: - Supervisor/ head need to believe in its employees. They need to
trust in them; that whatever they are doing is beneficial for the both.
Provide feedback: - In order to motivate the employee an organization should make
efforts to provide continuous feedback to the employee about the work performed by them. This
in turn will aid the employee to work more effectively in order to achieve the set benchmark.
Provide professional enrichment: - An organization should make an attempt to
encourage its employees either to continue their education or participate in various
organizational activities. Employee should be provided reimbursement or should be sending to
workshops and seminars in order to enhance their skills.
Maslow's hierarchy: In this theory, HR should satisfy various needs such as physiological,
safety, love and belonging, esteem and self actualization needs. Physiological need comprises
basic needs comes at first priority such as food, shelter and clothing. There after, saferty needs in
terms of personal and financial security must be satisfied through better salary, insurance,
gratuity and pension. After that, love and belonging tells that employees are the part of society
hence, they desire to maintain a good relationship with the colleagues. However, esteem needs
tells that all the employees must have authority and freedom to do their allotted work. At the end,
self autualization needs comes which includes recognizition needs. In this, HR should appreciate
the employees who are performing well and assist them to enhance their performance through
high motivation. Thus, by satisfying all the needs, HR will be highly able to motivate their
employees and improve their performance in an significant manner.
2.1 Solutions to work based problems
There are various work based problems which an organization faces while performing its
various activities. Some of the work based problems are discrimination, poor working culture,
harassment and bullying. Therefore, various solutions which an organization can undertaken in
order to solve various work based problems are as follows:-
Identification of the problem:- First step which a company should need to undertaken to
develop the solution to various work based problem is HR manager should make an efforts to
identify the various problem which are arising in the organization (Houston, 2005).
Evolve the various alternative solutions: - Once problem has been identified than
organization should make attempt to evolve the various alternative solutions for the problem

the nature of the team members, their behavior, personalities and working relationship among all
the members present in the team. Therefore, team dynamic analyze is very important part of the
daily working life (Mason, Williams and Cranmer, 2009). This team dynamic analyze has the
large impact on the various factors of the organization. This analyzes affects the staff retention
rate, company reputation, profitability ratio of the company, team and individual performance
