INTRODUCTION
Employability skills are defined as the transferable skills needed by an individual to make
a person employable (Bucolo and Wrigley, 2011). In any organisation there are vast number of
skills are required there for performing a job which are really required to perform a job perfectly.
Such knowledge is helpful and it is necessarily helpful in a company success. Employability
skills are essential element or qualification for a job position and in business environment, it is
compulsory for an individual to implement several number of skills into them. In this context,
there are several number of skills are required for any business consent in which interpersonal,
communication skills and professional skills are must for them in getting a perfect job for them.
In this assignment, there are mainly three task are evaluated and distinguish on the basis of an
employee. The report is based on hospitality industry in which services which are provided by
employees is everything. Also, company have to use appropriate techniques for motivating an
individual at workplace which enable them in improve the quality of performance. Moreover at
workplace all people have different interest and working pattern and for this context, employer
have to use suitable problem solving and time management method for making a better and
effective employee. Further by coordinating all things properly, the problems get sorted out in
minimum time bound. Hence, management have to consider all these qualities in an individual at
the time of assigning job or duty to someone.

1.1 Develop a set of own responsibility and performance objective
Responsibility is consider as a major thing which an individual have to learn and aware
about that. Also a person have to set some objectives and aware about responsibility so that they
can attain them in an effective manner (Abou-Setta, 2014). TUI is one of a group who lead to
work at travel and tourism industry and employer required a sales manager for their organisation
growth and development. Being a sales manager, it is their moral duty to use various approach
through which more and more users get attracted towards their firm. As a manager, I have to
perform several number of responsibility and settle objectives which I have to get attain in
minimum time bound.

enterprise to operate successfully and to maintain employment relationships. It helps seniors to
give orders to their juniors and it is very helpful for lower department to communicate their

Types of communication:
There are many kinds of communication. Important methods are following-
Verbal communication:
It takes place whether in person or over the telephone. It is an oral method of messaging. In this
method sounds and words are used to communicate anything by on person to another. This can
be of 2 types. First is interpersonal communication and second is public speaking. In earlier type
the information is exchanged between 2 persons generally but in 2nd type, information is being
delivered to public by any person or group of individuals. Signs and symbols are also used to
make communication more effective (Morote, Rosenberg and Heimler, 2012).
Written communication:
It includes messages which consist of written words and to be read out to understand. It is
the most effective way of exchanging any information in businesses. There are many examples

of written method such as Email, letters, telegrams, postcards, contracts. These all are used in an
organisation. There are many advantages and disadvantages of written communications. There
can be breach of confidentiality and it takes a lot of time (Jolly and Hinchliffe, 2011). But there
is no need of personal contact and it can be taken as a proof in case of any dispute.
Non verbal communication:
This is a method where neither speech nor writing is used for encoding and decoding of
message. It includes behaviour and elements of speech but aside from words. It includes body
posture, tone, volume and pitch etc.
Communication at various levels
To peers/ colleagues: In given scenario Madelene communicates to its colleagues
regarding the stolen purse verbally. She should communicate to her team leader in
a proper way with politeness instead of creating scene. There are many methods
of communicating information verbally such as over the phone or talking with
them personally. To communicate with all peers and colleagues a verbal process
of communication take place. This consent is helpful in reducing the time frame

negative an individual can use mail facility which support in delivering of
information from lower level to higher level of management. This process have a
definite procedure which take more time in action implementation.
To HR department: Madelene should write a official formal letter to the HR
department of company to inform them regarding this activity that her purse was
stolen because of negligence of team leader. She should insert all the relevant
information regarding case. Your perception should be reached to them in a
proper and systematic way. Human resource manager is consider as senior
authority of an organisation and to communicate every sort of information with
them, it is essential to follow a formal letter format. This letter includes every data
which needs to get communicated in an appropriate manner.
