The weighted score for all the vendors has been calculated and in that, all of the aspects in
relation to the proposal have been discussed. There are 20 criteria’s on the basis of which the
evaluation is made by the company. In that software, hardware, and qualities of a vendor, all
have been taken into account. It can be noted that among all the three vendors the third one is
gaining the highest score. Both the vendor one and two have the equalized weighted score and so

it is not possible to make the differentiation among them on the basis of the weighted score. The
score given by them is highest in terms of various qualities for the hardware and software which
is involved. The main loss with this vendor is in relation to the expandability of the memory. The
system that is being provided by the vendor three will be required to be selected due to the
qualities that are incorporated into the system. All the business needs will be fulfilled with the
help of this which is not the case with others. The system is maintained in an easy manner and
the quality of the services which are provided by it is better than others. The company will be
secured with this as there will be a good reputation in the market which will help in gaining the
trust of all. The process will be completed in the best manner as there will be proper training
which is provided by the vendor. In addition to this, there is installation service which is given
and the speed with which the hardware operates is high which helps in early completion of the
process.

In all the businesses there is the need to apply some approaches in order to make the decision.
Point scoring matrix is one of them that include all the aspects which are relevant in taking any
decision. The purchase of an information system is a big decision and in that proper inclusion of
all the factors is to be considered (Das, 2016). There are proposals which are made by three
vendors and the company is required to select the one which is best. There will be fast and
effective decisions which will be made as all the scores which are required will be available with
the help of the scoring model. All the results which are included will be used to make a
comparison that is helpful in the decision-making process. There is uniformity in the scoring
process as the basis of decision making in this is pre-decided and so there will be no issue that
will be faced. All the options which will be available can be evaluated and then the best among
them will be selected (Jansma, 2019). The business will, therefore, be benefitted as there will be
coverage of all the important elements which are necessary to be used for decision making.
