Solutions to Work Based Problems and Time Management Strategies

This presentation discusses work based problems faced by employees and their solutions, communication styles at different levels of management, and time management strategies to accomplish work on time.

Task 4

4.1 Solutions to work based problems
 Work based problems can be identified as the issues that are being
faced by employees while executing the operations of firm. However,
there are numeorus personal situations which needs to be assessed at
the time of carrying ouyt the work to attain objectives. For example,
when an individual is working within business they are facing serios
consequences that need to be overcome in order to attain desired
goals.

 Further, it can be assessed that individuals can be face inappropriate
handling of business equipments. Therefore, proper solution needs to
be identified in order to overcome such problem and thus attain
desired results.
 However, proper training needs to be provided so that individual can
enhance their skills and capabilities in regard to operate the
machinery.
 Furthermore, in order to solve the work based issues business is
required to implement the identified solution such as providing best
training sessions for employees to enhance their skills and
proficiences.

 Also, it is crucial for the management of firm to monitor the
performance of employees by adopting feedback method so that
individual can be encouraged and perform better results within
firm.

4.2 Communicate in different styles and appropriate manner at
different levels
 It can be assessed that the identified issue can be effectively
overcome by developing communication and thus interact with
other employees.
 However, organization should organize timely meetings so that
every employee can comunicate with each other and share ideas
with management as well.
 Further, there are varied levels in management therefore, they need
to undertake different ways in order to communicate with them.
These are as follows-

 Strategic level- It includes top management who undertake
strategic decisions of company. Therefore, individuals are required
to communicate with them regarding the issues by adopting
meetings or conferences and solve the problems.
 Tactical level- In this individual is required to communicate with
the middle level management so that best solutions can be
obtained. Here, they can adopt formal ways such as letter, e-mail
or formal meetings to share their issues.

 Operational level- Here, employees communicate their problems
through adopting informal ways like posting notices on notice
board and thus solve the issues on their own level.

4.3 Application of time management strategies
 It is essential for workers to undertake time management
strategies in order to accomplish the work on time. It is as
follows-
 Pre-planning- With the help of such method management is
required to develop a check list and thus mark the most
important tasks to be accomplished first and then the less
important one. There can be calenders, pocket diaries used to
make notes regarding assuring of completion of work on time.

 Delegation of work- Here, the management is required to delegate
their work to subordinates so that their roles and responsibilities
can be enhanced. It also helps in improving their job role so that
they can manage their time accordingly and accomplish the tasks.
