Concept of employee motivation in the context to business
According to Roselle Rogers (2020) it has been stated that Employees motivation in
simpler terms can be stated as the level of commitment, honest efforts and creativity they are
able to bring in their work on a regular basis. It shows how much connected they feel as a part of
the Organization they work in and are engaged to achieve the Goal of the organization. There are
many factors that influences the performance of the Organization that mainly consist of human
resources, Environment and capital. From all the three factors, human resources influence the
most on the performance level of the work. Thus it is justifiable to motivate the employees so
that they value their work and firm as a whole and concentrate their full efforts to accomplish the
goals of the Organization. Employees are considered as asset of the Organization and are majorly
responsible for the success of the organization (Badrianto and Ekhsan, 2019). If the employees
are motivated by themselves to do their work, then they by themselves take the responsibility to
do their work and are also ready to do whatever is required so that their creativity can help them
individual and also make a valuable contribution to the organization thereby increasing the
revenue on a periodic basis and that also leads to increase their profit margin. Apart from this
motivation also is fruitful that includes certain qualitative measures that includes positive
atmosphere within the company. Staff members are committed and feel secured that ultimately
results in making the customers satisfied as well as happy thereby customers remain connected to
their company. This ultimately helps the Organization to be in a better position compared to
competitors. The Motivation isn't visible and it is impossible to measure motivation in
quantitative terms and it is also uncontrollable but it is can be easily be done if done correctly
and with right reasons. If an Employee has a very low level of motivation then it would result in
a quite slow pace, even lead to avoidance of the task and spending their valuable time and energy
in internet suffering or using excessive use of their mobile phone in work time. It will result in

employees not being focussed and as a result organization productivity will suffer. Motivation is
bifurcated into two types one is intrinsic motivation and other is extrinsic motivation. There can
be number of ways that Organization can take to motivate employees that can include
employee’s motivation surveys through the way of online surveys employees can give genuine
feedback about their experiences, their suggestions that can help Organization now if any of
employees’ suggestion can bring positive change and that may even lead them towards higher
growth. Employees satisfaction surveys will help managers to resolve employees issues their by
resulting in significant reduction in number of dissatisfied employees (Bawa, 2017). Employers
should recognize the employers for their job it will create healthier bond between them it will
make the employees value their work and become more productive. Create a good working
environment were in their break enjoy snakes and doing friendly interact with their colleagues
that will motivation the employees and in turn Organization performance will increase by many
folds.
Need for a business to motivate employees at workplace
According to Catherine Lovering (2020) In an organization, Employee motivation is one of
the important aspect because it helps workers in enhancing their ability to do their best at
working area. Motivation is the desire and energy that makes employee interested and committed
to their job. It is the motivation that drives them or pushes them to achieve more. This also help
in employees to show up at work every day. Employee motivation is important for the company.
The more employees are motivated, more they are dedicated, work harder and therefore it also
help them to produce more. In other words, employee motivation improves the quality of work
within the organisation. On the other hand, employee with low motivation level working at a
slower pace and therefore get distract even spending more time away from their delegated tasks.
In some cases demotivated employees start occupying themselves in surfing online or spending
time on their phones. Which make them largely unfocused, do not enjoy their work, which
results in feeling burden of their work. Thus, this is not only wasting of company's resources but
also effect the fellow employees of the organisation. Lack of motivation among employees of the
company lead to producing less at work, less than standard performance and even lack in
meeting important targets. Therefore, company must avoid demotivation among employees.
