Philosophies of working in partnership in
health and social care
There are different types of philosophies used in partnership
working in health and social care. Here, the following
philosophies will be communicated to the staff, partnerships
and social care organizations-
Patients' autonomy- Autonomy must be ensured in
partnership working under which self interest is focused. Here,
doctors, therapists and nurses get freedom to work in
accordance with the help of internet and experience. However
their judgment enables them to change internal work
environment.

 Empowerment- Empowerment is imperative aspect for
social care setting. Under this, management of health and
social care allocate resources and authorities among
responsible candidates. It proves to be effective in resolving
issues faced by workforce at the workplace. Thus, in order
to resolve the same thing, management share power among
those who lack the same. Empowerment is also effective
way to improve relationship among partners which enables
them to achieve specified results on the right time.

 Respect-Under this, patients are given respect by providing
them freedom to discuss their issues and problems. At this
juncture, they are rendered good and safe environment.
Furthermore, they must be provided with detail information
related to medication and their treatment which makes them
happy.
 Independence-This is another philosophy of work under
which health and social care focuses on independent views
of employees related to their personal aspect. The degree of
control is set relatively low which help to put workforce into
action with positivity.
