INTRODUCTION
Career plays a very important role in everyone's life that one makes from proper
education and through development of various skills. Personal development refers to a concept
that allows individual in enhancing its present skills with the help of which one can get better
opportunity in his career or future life. It involves development of skills such as communication,
presentation, speaking, listening or any kind of academic skills that can be utilized in job field by
an individual (Ahmadigol, Dehghanzadeh and Rezae, 2021). Employability refers to presence
of ability in order to gain good job role, retaining it for some time and getting opportunity of
having better job. It includes combination of various skills, ability, knowledge and experience in
specific field. The present report discusses about roles and responsibilities that are required to get
a good position as Accounting Manager in TESCO Company which is a multinational retailer
firm. The report also includes job description, person specification, required knowledge and
skills that are compulsory to have job. A self reflection is also being done on educational journey
in order to assess what all responsibilities are already present and what all are needed to be
developed in order to fulfil job requirements. Further a CV and a cover letter is prepared for job
role.
TASK
Identification of job context:
In the present report a job for Accountant has been considered in which a candidate will be
allotted with roles and responsibilities of an accountant after qualifying an interview and meeting
all the necessary requirements or qualification in order to get job of Accounts Manager. The job

Summary:
Assist multinational retail company's Accounting department with various day to day activities
related to Accounting in order to ensure all receipts and payments are made appropriately,
adequate preparation of sheets, maintenance of bills and receipts, emailing or faxing, filing of
records, solving customers queries related to accounting and many more.
Job Purpose
The Accounts Manager is required to perform various roles and responsibilities in his field. He
also have to ensure departments smooth and adequate working along with having surety that
proper actions are being taken to achieve set target or objective in specific time. A candidate
should possess good communication skills along with presence of analytical skills.
Roles & Responsibilities
Recording of accounting transactions.
Setting of specific targets for each employee.
Managing of work along with maintaining of employee's productivity.
Maintaining and updating spread sheets time to time.
Emailing, faxing or collating accounting statements and invoices.
Maintenance of payroll records.
Closing reservations in respect to payments and invoices.
Credit charge along with running of day to day batches.
Following up with suppliers and other firms and emailing receipts to them.
Providing assistance to payroll department.
Assisting in process of cheques in order to have delivery to company's employees.
Interaction with employees as per need in order to gather certain data for bills and
rejected cc's.
Assuring all paper work in adequate manner.
Ability to work under pressure, dynamic environment, completion of task within
specific deadlines.
Knowledge in working on Windows 10 computer software, Microsoft office excel,
word, power point, etc.
Able to perform work on accounting software.
