INTRODUCTION
Academic skills are the disciplinary tools that provide ability to locate information,
critically reading and evaluate data information that are applied in integrating new research
projects. Research skills are helpful in generating new knowledge in a disciplined manner.
Critical evaluation is involved in both cases. Main aim of academic skills are used to create true
generalisations like principles, theories, models and claims(Bohm and Motschnig, 2016,). Here ,
strength and weakness of personal, academic skills will be described. Along with this, the self
improvement plan is also discussed to make our skills better.
TASk 1
a. Strength and weakness over different skills
Personal skills
Strength Communication: I am glad to say this that my communication
skill is my strength because I use to handle my meetings,
seminars and may other events. My writing skill with my good
hand writing give an easy way to read my documents and
projects. Pitching and tone of voice is adorable to everyone. In
my school time I used to address my morning school assembly.
My voice tone is very helpful in addressing the people .Apart
from this I have also other hard personal skills that I have
gained with my daily experiences like bike riding, writing
poems and creating music. These help me to interact with other
people. Listening is one of my god skills.
Weakness Weakness is a common key of everyone. I have it too.
Although I m good in communication but I have not that much
presentation skills. Sometimes I am not good t interact with
stranger people.
Academic skills

Strength In research work I am good because I like to search and think
innovative thoughts and ideas for a given project. Collecting all
information and data's are main wok of me. Paraphrasing is the
work of my daily routine work in my office. This strength
provide me different way to write something in a different and
clear way.
Weakness Note making is not as good as my research work because I
have never done it before for long time. In my school time it
was on an average skill for me. One of my weakness is typing .
My typing is too slow than a usual typing speed
English language skills
Strength My English language skill is very helpful tool for me in
communicating with professionals people. Reason behind it is
that I used to live in a school where there English speaking was
compulsory. I am also good in writing English language with
good grammatical knowledge.
Weakness Fluency is not as good as a true speaker. In English writing I
have problem with vocabulary synonyms and antonyms.

TASK 2
Listening skills
Last week I had a telephonic conversation with my friend. He was telling me about few signs and
symptoms of a disease and also old me about few medicines. I wrote those sign and symptoms
with the name of drugs. This way of writing every thing improved my note making. After
completing my conversation with my friend, I again recall the whole conversation and finally I
summarize it that he was suffering from heart burn problem, that is caused due to excess of gases
in stomach(Bryman and Bell 2015). This finding was occurred with the help of heart burn
symptoms and the drugs that are given during excess of gas that cause swollen and contraction is
smooth muscles of stomach. The keywords that are focused after listening the conversations
Stomach, sign and symptoms, disease, swollen, heart burn and medicines.
Reading skills
One day in morning I was reading a newspaper where there was a story which helped me
in defining accurate definition of consumer behaviour. To develop understanding over the article

in focused on analysing keywords which were, consumer behaviour, changes,
satisfaction(Cramer, 2017). Market trends, dynamic business environment, demand and needs
and wants of consumer.
Paraphrased and Summarisation
With help of my listening skills I want to say about my first conversation that it was about
a disease that is related with excessive production of gas in stomach. In this disease it is felt like
that there is fire burn feeling at the lower side of heart. Medicines are given for it reduce the
production of excess gases (Duncan and Fiske, 2015).
After reading an article I came through different related keywords that explain about market and
management. This shows that how a human behaviour is useful in business marketing. This is
useful in making a good dynamic business environment. There is no any market without
customers. By reading this i got it knows that this is a strategy to attract the customers for their
products and services. Demands and satisfaction of customer is related with human behaviour.
This is all about human behaviour that is used in market.

Research plan
Aim
“To determine behaviour of consumer towards glass storage device”
Primary research is based on current findings which are evaluated by researcher with the
helps of survey, focused group, interview etc. This research will be conducted with the helps of
interviews on the basis of questionnaire.
Secondary research is based on past facts and findings which is collected from
newspaper, articles, books, journals, governmental publication etc. For this research the scholar
will make use of newspaper, books, articles and online journals(Largent,, 2016).
Segmentation strategies
The research process will include a wide range of segmentation strategies that will help
the organisation to evaluate the assessment strategies or plan analyse the customer behaviour
towards the glass storage device.
Customer behaviour
The appropriate assessment of the customer behaviour will help the researcher to develop
a proper and effective marketing strategy or plan that will facilitate a good rise in the meeting of

business operations and activities in a better way. The buyer's perception towards a product will
impact its performance and business activities to a greater extent.
Research process
Processes are done to collect the data for given products. Firstly the secondary methods
are followed to find out that from which government publication the data is taken. This has been
published in OSHO publication, a reputed publication in US. This is useful for the storage of
data in huge amount. The trade of this device is not too popular in this world because this is not
fully authorized by government.
So many banks are investing over this project because it can reduce the use of silicon and
plastics. The public records say that it must be launched as soon as possible in market.
The effective research process will include the in detail assessment and evaluation of various
primary and secondary data sources. This assessment will help in getting proper insight related to
consumers perception towards the glass storage devices.
Primary information:
The adoption of the proper primary sources will include the assessment of the data
sources that will include the customers or respondents. The primary data source will include the
evaluation process like questionnaire or survey. This will help the organisation to meet the
operational requirements and the assessment of the operations that will help in effective
assessment of research aims and get the proper information related to the customers' behaviour
and perception towards the glass storage devices(Fullan, 2014).
Timeline
Time line will include the deep assessment of the research processes and the activities
that are been taken in consideration by the researcher or academic scholar that will help the firm
to handle the business activities and actions that will help in effective planning of various
processes. The effective Gantt Chart or research timeline will support in identification of proper
measures and activities that will be followed for getting suitable outputs related to aim. Besides
this, it will help in effective planning of research operations and activities. The Application and
assessment of a timeline or Gantt Chart will help the scholar to carry out the research process in

Reflection on progress
The weakness of skills are improved in few months. Communication skills are now has become
more effective with my good presentation. Now there is there are a lot of growth in my
presentation techniques. Now I am also good in my academic work, the note making of projects
have been developed with the help of different types of skills(Fullan, 2014). Apart from this my
English speaking is good now than earlier time. Fluency is now good at up to level. These all
development in my personal and academic skills have provided me lot of confidence to deal with
various types of activities and seminars. By applying all strategies and plan I have developed my
weakness as my strength. Now I can feel the reflection of my progress in my daily life.
