Methodology
In order to meet the defined aim, quantitative research methodology has been adopted in
which effective outcome can be generated through graphs and figures. This will help to improve the
business performance and determine which company needs to be offered (Lee and et.al., 2020).
Also, effective planning should be performed which in turn assist to meet the defined aim.
The data collection methods used for the study will be only secondary and for that relevant
books and journals chosen that helps to analyse whether the research objectives have met or not. In
addition to this, for referencing system and to track the stored information, work cited cards for each
sourced need in which author name, title, publisher, data and page number included that determine
the validity and reliability of a reference.
As the entire study is secondary and that is why, both online and non-electronic sources has
been used which assist to create a better outcome (Elder and Paul, 2020). Thus, for online sources,
report will used websites in which author name, year of publish, accessible data and URL or internet
address has been used that assist to understand whether the selected reference is valid or not. On
the other side, under non-electronic sources included books, article and newspaper that provide
authentic result pertaining to the chosen objectives.
For effective planning, research also uses keyword that is related to present study in which
scholar type computer purchase in order to find out different sources that assist to generate a better
outcome and identify the research as well (Züger and et.al., 2018). Further, Boolean operators are
also used in the present research which helps to understand the sentence in more effective manner.
Like, and, or while research for online sources.
In order to conduct the research in legal and ethical manner, it is necessary to comply with
data protection act which in turn assist to protect the sensitive information about different company
quotation from third party. Also, it has been identified that to conduct the research in ethical manner,
there is a need to comply with ethical principle in which reference list has been added at the end of
the research which determine the research is authentic.
Findings and discussion
From the views of Robert, 1st employee and second it has been identified that the views of
last employee is good because company should invest into a system which is actually needed. Thus,
the decision matrix will be performed for 6 computer and 5 laptop with 17 PDA with a latest GPS
tracking facilities.

Comparison of companies
DIGIS Intive DCSL Guide Smiths
As per the above decision, it has been analysed that some of the three companies have
finalized along with their offering. Thus, it can be stated that each company offer the best products
with facilities. Such that the price of DCSL is high and both hardware and software cost of a system
are differ. Whereas, DIGIS offer each products and facility in reasonable rate with free GPS tracking
facility and that is why, it is considered the most suitable brand on which the company can be focused
(Weintrop, 2019). On the other side, Intive is also one of the top brand which where both cost of
hardware in computer and laptop is differ and high from DIGIS. Thus, it can be stated that the cost of
the DCSL and Intive is higher as compared to other brands but these do not charge extra for the
support services and antivirus but he products range is high (Uzoma and Briggs, 2019). Therefore, by
discussing it with the main stakeholder, DIGIS will be finalized for the defined products unit so that the
new business can be easily expandable into new area.
Conclusion
By summing up above report it has been concluded that by using quantitative research
method, company can easily select the best outcome in which keywords and secondary data will be
beneficial for the business because it will help to generate a better outcome. On the other side,
through findings and by using excel and present the findings in a graphical manner, it has been
identified that all three companies are top three companies who offer best quality of laptop and
computer to the company. Thus, with the help of views of all stakeholder, it has been identified that
only DIGIS will be selected because there is no software cost required and it charge minimal support
services from other companies.
Recommendations
From the above it is to be suggested to the company to conduct primary research in which
different views of the selected participants will be analysed so that effective outcome can be
generated. Along with this, different key aspects need to be included regarding to laptop which in turn
help to identify which product is far better and chosen over other. This in turn help to meet the
requirement of Robert and the new business will be easily expandable in new market that helps to
provide better working environment and meet the defined aim as well.

they are applied.
e. Outline your overall research strategy to locate new sources of information and explain
how you use information sources efficiently and effectively.
2. Submit your reflection to your assessor within the agreed timeframe.
a.
In order to determine the system and security procedures, I use secondary sources in which

For analysis of data, I used only spreadsheet in which tables and charts has been formulated
that assist to create a better outcome and present the findings in a presentable manner. Further, it
can be also stated that to apply the same into a research, I collect the information from internet and
make a table so that graphs can be created in order to understand which company offer the product

Appendix 1: Case study – Kerr Deliveries
Overview
Robert Kerr has run a successful delivery company in NSW since 1995. He has 14 administrative
staff, 8 sales staff and 33 delivery personnel who use bicycles, cars and vans to deliver across
Sydney and regional NSW. Due to his business expanding at a rapid rate, he is going to begin
operations in Canberra, Melbourne and Brisbane in three months’ time.
Robert plans to hire 6 additional administrative staff, 5 sales staff and 17 extra delivery personnel to
operate the various locations in Canberra, Melbourne and Brisbane. As well as purchasing new
computers for staff at the new locations, he has decided to replace all existing computers within the
business because they are getting old and running slowly.
Research purpose – computer purchase
Robert is happy to spend money for good quality computers if it means they will perform better and
last longer than cheaper computers, but he expects you to justify any recommendations with clear
statistics and evidence as to why the organisation should purchase a particular type of computer from
a particular store.
This is an important buying decision for the company and it will require a significant portion of the
budget. Robert has given you two weeks to research your report. He expects your research to be
conducted both online as well as using non-electric techniques. He would also like to know your
research techniques (including online search terms and methods) in case he decides to research
computers for himself in the future.
There are so many computer brands on the market, and so many different styles and speeds of
computers; all Robert knows is that he needs to buy desktop computers for the administrative staff,
laptops for his sales staff and PDAs (personal digital assistants) for his delivery personnel.
You have been employed as Robert’s assistant for the past two years. Robert has asked you to
produce a thorough research report that details which computers he should buy for the company.
Robert suggests that his requirements for the organisation are:
20 new desktops
13 new laptops which are lightweight
50 PDAs with the latest GPS tracking
all computers should contain the latest version of Microsoft Office software and antivirus
software.
Accuracy and relevance to organisational requirements
When you are doing your initial scoping for the project, other employees tell you that Robert’s view on
the numbers of computers required is wrong. One staff member suggests:
28 new desktops – one for every staff member
2 new laptops which are lightweight – these can be shared
20 PDAs with the latest GPS tracking – one for each delivery person, with 3 spares.
Another suggests one for each person hired according their role:
6 new desktops
5 new laptops which are lightweight
17 PDAs with the latest GPS tracking.
When you question Robert about this, he asks you to resolve it and determine the ideal numbers. He
