INTRODUCTIONThe management and operation of the company will help the company to meet therequirements of the company in a better way. The management of the operations of the companywill allow the company to take the effective measures to meet the requirement criteria of thecustomers (Bazargan, 2016). The management of the operations will be looked after by theleaders and the managers that are been placed at the organisation. For the report, the ToyotaMotors is been taken into the consideration, which works in the auto mobile manufacturingsector. The report focuses on the roles and responsibilities of the leader and manager. Varioustheories are been discussed in order to gain a better productivity. The key approaches ofoperation management by managers and leaders at Toyota will be considered. Also, the factorsaffecting the business environment will be discussed (Genovese and et.al., 2017). TASK 1LO1P1. Definer and compare different roles and characteristics of a modern leader and manager.The leaders and managers plays a very crucial role in the management of the operationsof a company. At Toyota Group, leaders and managers will play a very deep role in the efficientcarrying out of the various operations of the company. They will play various roles at the ToyotaGroup and will have the following characteristics:Roles of an efficient leader or manager are:They will play a very important role in the management of the operations at the workplace.They will act as a communication channel between the top management and theemployee's of the company (Harmon, 2015). They will conduct the efficient analysis and evaluation of the various factors that canaffect the overall operations and productivity of the company. They will see through the effective management of the various issues and find theappropriate solution's that are needed to be taken into consideration for effective runningof the various operations in the company. 1

Besides this, they will look after the effective evaluation of the various employee's andwill arrange the various sort of training programs in order to improve their efficiency(Heizer, 2016). Characteristics of an efficient leader or manager are: Honesty:A leader or a manager must be honest in his actions and work in order tomotivate its subordinates and employee's to work with integrity. Communication skills: The communication skills of a manager or a leader helps thecompany to meet the requirements of the company and provide the business organisationwith efficient and motivated employee's.Confidence:The leader or the manager must be confident to convey the thoughts andmessages of himself as well as the others that helps the company to carry out itsoperations in a better way (Kerzner and Kerzner, 2017).Positive attitude: The manager or the leader should have a positive attitude towards thework as it will help him to gain a better productivity and meet the requirement of thecompany. Apart from it, the positive attitude of the leader or the manager will motivatethe employees to work in a better way with dedication. LO2P2.
