offerings to the customers and in return generates profitability. In other words, it is a place
where proper buying and selling take place. In this report, the business model has been
explained that helps in developing company’s mission, vision and strategic business tools.
The value preposition model has been explained that explains the importance of the product
for the customer and describes the reason for which they are buying the product. The supply
chain management has been taken into account that helps in making the product available to
the customers at the right time so that no difficulty would be faced by customers at the time
of consuming the product. Selection and innovation tools have been selected which provides
base for the overall business and explain the effectiveness of using them.

due to the shortage in raw materials for fries and burgers3. One of the largest selling item of
McDonald’s is Burger which plays an essential role in the profitability of company. Since,
the raw materials used to make those delicious burgers majorly comes from local market or
regional market there are many issues related to inventory, transportation and facilities.

chain. Generally in any geographical area McDonald’s have minimum of two ware houses,

and in dry rooms as required by the products4. All products in the inventory are handled on
first in first out basis. It is very important because products that have come first must be used
first and then the rest and so on.
Transportation
The process of transportation allows inventory to move from one place to another
through refrigerated vans. In different regions different fleet is choose to transport inventory
from ports to the warehouses but on the other hand when delivering finished items at the
restaurants they refer express fleet in order to maintain a good temperature of the food while
delivering5. The suppliers are responsible for delivering raw materials from port to ware
house and from ware house to retail outlets of McDonald’s.
Facilities
They are the actual physical sites where the products are stored until they have to
transport. These physical locations must be of standard condition because the products are
