This assignment is designed to facilitate Learning Outcomes Three and Five of this course which are outlined in Section 2. It contributes 30% towards the total course grade and will be marked out of a total of 75 marks. The purpose of this assessment is for students to undertake self-directed research to develop a fictitious ‘for profit’ New Zealand based organisation with business connections to the global milieu. The assignment consists of seven key elements and one research synthesis element. The key elements include Strategic Intent, Business Level Strategy, Competitive Rivalry & Dynamics, Corporate Level Strategy, Merger & Acquisition Strategies, International Strategy, and Cooperative Strategy. The research synthesis element is Conclusion. The assignment structure includes a title page, table of contents, and sections for each key element and research synthesis element.
