Health and safety Introduction The report talks about the significance of human factors in health and safety in the UK in oil and gas sector. It also explains that how stress, depression, fatigue, harassment influence the business activities and operations negatively in oil and gas sector. Further, the report explains therules and legislation which have been made by the UK government to protect the rights of the employees and to provide a favorable working environment to them. It describes the shift patterns and suitable working hours of the workers. It explains that how the company can collect feedback from the employees to maintain the favorable working environment at the workplace. It describes that how the people break the rules and policies of the company around the world. Thus, the companycan meet its long-term goals and objectives by maintaining health and safety standards within theorganization. Significance of human factors in health and safety in UK oil and gas sectorThe application are understanding and knowing about the capabilities of human and their limitations so as to increase the performance of the employees within the organization. To increase the production and reliability of the company it is necessary that human should interact with the technology of the organization (Lèfstedt, 2011). The significance of human factors in the organization, therefore, becomes very important aspect. They help in addressing the interaction between various people, and with facilities of management in the workplace. The factors show its impact on the performance of the employees working in the organization. The practical solutions that are expected in the company minimize the incidents and improve the productivity of the business (Yusuf et al, 2013). In oil and gas industry human factors are very important factors which help in operating safely and effectively for the business. Their role is considered the design tools and other necessary equipment that generally company requires while operating business. It is important for the oil and gas factory to satisfy these human factors in order to achieve greater profits. These human factors play a major role in promoting company’s name at a higher level in the market. The target of the company generally remains on marking a stamp in the market for which it depends on the employees working in the industry (Zanko and Dawson, 2012).
