Instruction for Assessments Submission:
If you do not understand any part of the unit or the assessments you are required to undertake, please talk
with your trainer or with the course coordinator. It is important that you understand all of the critical aspects
of the learning and assessment process that you will be undertaking. This will make it easier for you to
learn and successfully progress in your studies.
To be able to be marked competent (pass) in any unit you must:
Submit all pieces of assessable work. If you do not submit any work you will be unable to gain
competency (pass)
Submit all work on or before the due date. Any work submitted after the due date, without an
approved extension will be unable to gain competency
Any work submitted after term will not be marked and you will be assessed as not yet competent
(not passed).
All work is to be done to a high quality in terms of both presentation and content. This includes
correct referencing, grammar, punctuation and name/student number placed in either header or
footer.
If you hand in your work to your trainer and it is not yet competent (not passed) you have one further
opportunity to resubmit. Your trainer will advise you of new submission date and the areas of improvement
to be made.
If you are found cheating, you will automatically get a not yet competent on your assessment. If you are
found to have cheated, copied work from others either in class or during assessment, you will either to
repeat the unit or be given a new reassessment task. You will be reported for this action and you may also
have to pay a financial penalty.
Cheating is where any students use:
· Notes in a test
· Copies another person’s work
· Use unauthorized material in test
You must write your work in your own words, you are being assessed on your own thoughts and
knowledge. All work is to be typed and handed directly to your trainer. You have to attach a completed
assignment sheet to your work that clearly shows your name and your student Id number as well as your
trainer’s name.
Please keep a copy of any work you submit. It is your responsibility to re – submit any work requested at
any time. The Zenith Business Academy takes no responsibility for work that cannot be located.

unit of competency. When undertaking any written assessment tasks, please ensure that you address the

Active Participation
It is a condition of your enrolment that you actively participate in your studies. Active participation is attending
and participating in all class activities, completing all the assessment tasks on time. If you do not participate
in your studies, you will be required to report to the course coordinator.

Plagiarism is taking and using someone else's thoughts, writings or inventions and representing them as
your own. Plagiarism is a serious act and may result in a student’s exclusion from a course. When you have

What about Copyright?
You must be careful when copying the work of others. The owner of the material may take legal action

Assessment Outcomes
You must submit a activities to your assessor by the due dates. Your assessor may not accept your work
after the due date unless prior permission was granted to you by your assessor.
Your submitted work will be assessed against the set performance indicators (Refer to performance
indicators in marking guide section) your assessor will record your performance as “Satisfactory” or
“unsatisfactory” against each performance indicator.
Your result for this assessment will be “Satisfactory” if your performance is satisfactory against all indicators
Your result for this assessment will be “unsatisfactory “if your performance is not satisfactory against any one
or all indicators.
If you are deemed “unsatisfactory” you will be provided with feedback from your assessor and will be given
another chance to resubmit your assessment task.
Assessment Appeals process:
If you feel that you have been unfairly treated during your assessment, and you are not happy with your
assessment outcome as a result of that treatment, you have the right to lodge an appeal. You must first
discuss the issue with your trainer/assessor. If you would like to proceed further with the request after
discussions with your trainer/assessor, you need to lodge your appeal to the Course Coordinator, in writing,
outlining the reason(s) for the appeal.

Application of the unit:
This unit applies to managers with responsibilities that extend across the organisation. They may have a
dedicated role in human resources, or work in a strategic policy or planning area. The unit takes a structured
approach to change management and applies to people with considerable work experience and
organisational knowledge.
Context
Purpose of this assessment is to assess skills and knowledge required to record general journal adjustment
entries and to prepare end of period financial reports.
This assessment takes place in International Institute of Zenith Business Academy (ZBA) computer lab.
The following factors must be observed during assessment – please follow WHS instructions given by your
trainer and ones put on the wall.
