Task summary
This assessment is to be completed using the Bounce Fitness simulated work environment. This
assessment task requires the student to review job descriptions, personal development policies and
procedures and the annual strategic human resources plan.

Your assessor will advise you of the due date of this assessment via the student portal.

This completed workbook.
Assessment criteria
For your performance to be deemed satisfactory in this assessment task, you must satisfactorily
address all the assessment criteria. If part of this task is not satisfactorily completed, you will be asked
to complete further assessment to demonstrate competence.
Re-submission opportunities
You will be provided feedback on your performance by the Assessor. The feedback will indicate if you
have satisfactorily addressed the requirements of each part of this task.
If any parts of the task are not satisfactorily completed, the assessor will explain why, and provide you
written feedback along with guidance on what you must undertake to demonstrate satisfactory
performance. Re-assessment attempt(s) will be arranged at a later time and date.
You have the right to appeal the outcome of assessment decisions if you feel that you have been dealt
with unfairly or have other appropriate grounds for an appeal.

Part A – Personal professional development plan
You are the assistant manager at Bounce Fitness Sydney City. You manage five fitness instructors and a
receptionist. You report to the Center Manager, Jacinta Scotts.
Using the Professional Development plan template provided, develop and implement a plan for own personal
and professional development.
Your plan must include how you will:
1. Support staff to develop work goals that align with their role and responsibilities
2. Facilitate team member access to relevant personal and professional development activities
3. Use technology to organise and prioritise tasks and commitments of a team or work area
4. Research and implement techniques for maintaining health and wellbeing of self and others
5. Develop personal work goals, plans and activities to meet work goals
6. Measure personal work performance, including assessing competency against competency standards
7. Participate in personal and professional development activities to develop professional competence.
There is a template available in Appendix A.
Part B – Personal development plan
Part of the responsibilities of management include developing and managing our staff. Using the Professional
Development plan template provided, develop and manage personal and professional development of two of
your staff.
Your plan must include how you will:
