Introduction
Technology enhanced communication has been one of the most accepted technology
among the global mass. Due to the inclusion of the technology based communication system
the main aspect that is taken into consideration includes the fact that physically based
shopping malls have been finding it difficult in processing of business management. This
report will provide a brief description of the chosen case study for bettering the business
management process. Frameworks that will be used for the processing of the ethical aspects
of the case study will be provided. Proper decision making regarding the choosing of the
theories will also be discussed. Proper assessment will be performed regarding the ethical
consequences of shifting the platform from shopping malls to digital firm. Issues regarding
ethical consequences will be provide as per the diversity of the digital firm.
Background
Westfield Group is a real estate organization that invests in designing and
constructions of shopping malls. Recently after the implementation of the digital platform,
the main aspect that will be taken into consideration is that there has been a drastic change in
the mentality of the shoppers. Westfield Groups are treating this aspect as an opportunity for
leveraging of the retail ecosystem with the help of the mobiles and digital market processing.
Inclusion of the digital in centred innovations and hence proper understanding of the digital
storefronts and clicking on the collection hub. Implementation of the frictionless car parking
system and mobile food service apps will also be included as per the web platforms.
Frameworks for analysis (Ethical aspect)
The ethical framework that needs to be used is the Consequentialist Framework. This
framework is mainly concerned with the stakeholders who will be affected in a both direct

and indirect manner. Thus is the main reason that this framework needs to be used by the
Westfield Group as they will be dealing with the clients and people who will be visiting the
shopping malls that Westfield Group will be designing and constructing. The main advantage
that is enjoyed includes the fact that the processing of the ethical decision making is
performed as per the estimation of the outcome that will be generated. The main issue that is
present in the section of the usage of the consequentialism is that the management of the
business execution might not get well estimated every time. The principles on which the
framework of consequentialism is dependent includes on the fact that he correctness or
wrongness of the project will be decided as per the result that will be estimated to be
achieved. Another principle that is considered includes the fact that the more good the output
of the project will be, more right the project is considered to be. As per the framework of
consequentialism, a specific action must be chosen as per the magnitude of goodness in the
consequences. In that case the main concern that is present includes the fact that the
management of the business will get difficult.
Utilitarianism is the ethical factor of the Consequentialism that will be having a role
to play in the ethical aspect of the designing and construction of shopping malls by the
Westfield Group.
As per the usage of the form of Utilitarianism, the output of the project that is undertaken
must be included and hence proper functional process is highly dependent on the expected
outcome of the project. Benefits of the government and global audience must be taken into
consideration for proper judging of the correctness of the project outcome (Barrow 2015).
The main concern of the entire scenario is considered as one of the main aspect as the
commencing of this form is mainly focussed on the interest of the citizens. The three factors
that has been affecting the processing of the Utilitarianism includes happiness of the
stakeholders after completion of the project has been the sole intrinsic value. Another factor

that affects the Utilitarianism is that the righteousness of the project is completely dependent
in the happiness that might be received after the completion of the project (Burr 2016).
Another factor that affects Utilitarianism is that interest of all the stakeholders are taken into
consideration.
IT Governance framework
The IT Governance framework that will be used in this case of implementation of
digital technology in the shopping malls that will be constructed by the Westfield Group, is
COBIT IT Governance Framework. With the implementation of COBIT the main benefit that
will be received is that the demands of the stakeholders are considered as the main concern.
COBIT will help Westfield Group, in developing a bridge in between the managers
performing control requirement (Huygh et al, 2018). Technical issue detection and business
risk identification are also considered as one of the major aspect that benefits the functioning
process of the shopping malls. COBIT infrastructure is collaborated with the business goals
that has the implementation of the business goals as per the requirement of the IT
infrastructure. The stages that are present in the COBIT functioning stage includes proper
planning and organization, Delivering and supporting of the plan is also one of the main
aspect. Acquiring and monitoring of the same is also one of the major aspect of the COBIT
(Haes and Grembergen 2016). Proper monitoring and evaluating of the data will also be an
important stage of the project. The main benefits that will be received after the
implementation of the COBIT 5.0 includes covering of the entire functioning of the shopping
mall. Utilizing a single integrated framework is considered as one of the major terminology
of the integrated framework. Business decision making is also enhanced with the help of the
COBIT 5.0 (Bartens et al, 2015). Separation of the governance as per the management has
been one of the major aspect of IT Governance Framework. The sectors of shopping malls
that will be benefitted includes CIO, IT manager, IT Director, risk committee, members of

the Audit committee, process owners and the stakeholders who are responsible for checking
of the professional audits and govern the security aspect. COBIT 5 implements the globally
accepted principles and hence properly functioning of the tools and models helps in bettering
in the valuing of the risk assurance process (Pane et al, 2018).
The major advantages that will be received due to the implementation of the COBIT
5.0 includes the fact that processing of the maintenance of the high quality information can be
maintained and hence proper decision making can be made. Achieving of the strategic goals
has been one of the major reason that the functional process will be maintained with the
effective and innovative usage of the IT (De Haes et al, 2016). The shopping malls will also
having a better understanding of the effective and innovative usage of IT in maintaining the
functioning of the efficient application of the business benefits. Maintaining of the IT related
risks are considered as one of the major risks that are present in the functioning process of the
COBIT 5.0 (Wolden, Valverde and Talla 2015). Another advantage that will be gained
includes the fact that optimization of the cost has been performed in a way that will be
affecting the functioning of the shopping mall.
Assessment of the ethical consequences of moving to a digital firm on
diversity inclusion
There are presence of the ethical dilemma in the processing of the campaign functions
that are to be performed and hence better understanding of the system will be performed as
per the slew of the social and ethical consideration regarding the involvement of the strategy
that will be required for commencing of the data management system. Hence processing of
the business management of the shopping mall that is constructed by the Westfield Group
will be facing a lot of ethical dilemma (Frishammar et al, 2018).

The ethical issues that are present in the alteration in the construction process and
introduction of new digital platform based terminology insists the fact that proper enhancing
of the project will get functional as per the usage of the digital platform includes ethical
issues in market research and finding of the audience, ethical issues regarding the privacy and
transparency in the functional processing of the data management shopping mall that will be
constructed by the Westfield Group (Roggeveen, Nordfält and Grewal 2016). Ethical issues
regarding the tracking of customer data can also be taken into consideration. Another ethical
issue that is needed to be performed includes the inclusion of third party for the processing of
the data management system (Iga et al, 2017). Another ethical issue that is presser in the
construction process includes the fact that proper understanding of the data management of
the change in rules will be made and hence proper understanding of data system of the
management system of the shopping malls and instigating of the direct marketing and fatigue.
As per the ethical perspective, presence of issues regarding the market research and
finding of the audience will be performed as per the segmentation of the data set. This is one
of the major reason that the functioning process of the data management has been getting
performed as per commencing of the audience providing the data of individuals for getting
data of each and every individual (Van Kerrebroeck, Brengman and Willems 2017). The
shopping malls that are constructed by the Westfield Group, will ensure that functioning of
the entire scenario will be performed and hence this conducting of the market research will
ensure that processing of the data management will ensure that commencing of the market
research. It is considered that performing market analysis for understanding their needs are
good but gaining the data without the concern of the audience has been one of the major
stakeholder of the business organization. Gaining of the data without the concern of the
clients are considered to be unethical.

Privacy, transparency and awareness of the data transaction is also considered as one
of the major aspect that will be dealing with the privacy of the users who will be visiting the
shopping mall. The main aspect that is taken into consideration includes the fact that better
understanding of the data management will be performed and hence tracking of the users
demands can be made (Patro, Padhy and Panigrahi 2016). In case Westfield Group constructs
a shopping mall with proper implementation of the digital platform the users who will be
buying products will be provided. This provisioning of the products imbibes the fact that
better management of the data processing will be performed. The user activities are stored on
the data base of the shopping mall. This imbibes the fact that the data of the clients entering
the shopping mall are stored. This ensures the fact that better management of the data will be
provided as per the activities of the clients are tracked. This tracking of the activities of the
clients leads to understanding the way they were interacting with each other in the shopping
mall. This might lead to the fact that the data that are not to be shared with the mass might get
leaked (Gorter 2018). This leaking of data will lead to the fact that the head authority of the
shopping malls will be gaining access to the private data of the users. Another aspect that is
needed to be considered in the processing includes that during getting in the shopping mall
the customers might be needing to log in their devices for getting a brief guide regarding the
shopping process in the shopping mall. This having access to the data set will provide the
personal details of the users. In case the user forgets to log out of the application after leaving
the shopping mall, the whereabouts of the customer will be present to the higher authorities
of the shopping mall. This is considered to be unethical. Tracking of better processing of the
decision making process will be performed as per the management of the data collection, the
customers might not feel safe and secured as they might get continuously tracked.
With the implementation of digital platform as per the processing of the shopping
malls that are constructed by the Westfield Group, the main advantage that is gained is online

payment of the products. This online payment of the products have been providing high
convenience in the regular lifestyle of the individuals. As the data that are provided by the
users during the payment process are stored so that the users gets benefitted by syncing the
data to the system and hence the effort that is required for the payment gets more decreased.
The main aspect that is considered in this process regarding the presence of the ethical
dilemma includes the fact that data that are provided during the commencing of money
transaction gets stored in the data base of the entire system (Copulsky 2019). The data that
are stored in the database of the payment transaction process might act as an ethical dilemma.
This is one of the major reason that the functional processing of the data storage gets affected
in a negative manner. This is one of the major aspect that ensures that the data can be
accessed by people who might not be authorized to gain access to the data.
Another ethical aspect that can be taken into consideration includes taking of the
phone numbers of the clients are taken. This insists the fact that processing of it will get
easier for the shopping mall to reach the clients and keep them updated regarding the
processing of the new launch of the products. This might not be liked by the clients. With the
aspect that the management of the new advertisements, the main aspect that will be taken into
consideration is that the higher authorities of the shopping mall will be having an access to
the data that are stored in the data set of the shopping mall. This will be acting as an ethical
dilemma.
Governance issues
Governance sector of the shopping mall will be highly benefitted after the
implementation if the digital platform. This is one of the main reason that acceptance of the
entire technology has been accepted globally. But there are several issue that will be present
as per the performing of the governance of the digital firm. Processing of the information

system as well as that of the investment. In this case the cost that is incurred in the processing
of the data management includes the fact that the cost that is incurred in the processing of the
data management will be performed as the cost incurred in implementation of the system has
been high (Toor, Suresh and Renukappa 2017). This cost that is incurred does not provide
any direct benefit to the shopping malls. This has been the case that enhancing of the entire
management system incurs a huge amount of cost without any new benefits gained as per the
extra cost that is incurred.
Governing of intellectual property has been another issue in switching to the business
management of the shopping malls (Wißotzki and Sandkuhl 2015). The innovations that are
brought in by the shopping malls has been considered as one of the major aspect that might
affect the functioning and evolution of the shopping mall as an entity. With innovations
getting abducted, it gets difficult for the shopping mall to maintain its individuality. This
maintenance of the regular functional process will get performed and hence proper
management of the data management of the shopping mall will get performed in a manner
that will benefit the functional process.
The tool that can be used for bettering the processing of the business governance
process includes he terminology of the Alfabet Enterprise Architecture Management. This
software toll helps in getting a better comprehensive IT governance solutions (Rahimi, Gøtze
and Møller 2017). This process helps in increasing better performing of the government
processing. The main advantage that is provided as per the functioning of the real time

entire system. This process will help in having an added experience in the processing of the
business management. This process helps in increasing the consistency of the transparency

proper controlling and developing of the auditable process is stated and hence better
management is performed in a better manner. Defining the EA responsibilities can be made
in a better manner. Provisioning of security aspect has been the major advantage of
implementing the Alfabet Enterprise Architecture Management. These processes will help in
better competitive analysis. This better competitive analysis will help in gaining an edge over
the other competitors (Perera and Eadie 2017).
Recommendation
The recommendations that are needed to be provided in the projection of the data set
includes the fact that proper commencing of the shopping malls that are altered in the
projection of the digital platform needs few recommendation for proper functioning and
increasing of higher efficiency. The recommendations are as follows: -
 Implementation of firewall in the data base of the shopping mall that implements the
digital platform. This implication of the digital platform will ensure that the data that
are stored in the data base of the digital platform. This increases the robustness of the
platform and data breaching of the customers can be mitigated.
 Usage of Retail Pro in the sales sector of the shopping malls will help in boosting the
power of the functioning process. This is one of the major aspect that will enhance the
output of the shopping mall.
 Usage of Alfabet Enterprise Architecture Management tool will also help in
performing the management of real time functioning and monitoring of the entire
