Business goals:
Sobeys Inc, a Canadian food retail business organisation, does its business in Canada for
more than 111 years (Corporate.sobeys.com, 2020). “We are a family nurturing families” Is the
business purpose of this company. The business objective of this organisation is to make life
better, which includes great experiences, families, communities and the lives of this company's
employees (Corporate.sobeys.com, 2020). Three recommendations will be developed for this
organisation. The recommendation will be based on SMART objectives, which will focus on
specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and timely (Bjerke & Renger, 2017). This organisation
will increase customer satisfaction within 6 months, a short term goal. This organisation will
boost its presence in social media within 1 year, a medium-term goal. This company will
enhance its market share within 2 years, a long term goal.
SWOT analysis:
Strengths Through its 1500 stores, this company operates in a total of ten
provinces of Canada. This organisation offers its product to various
banners such as Sobeys, Foodland, Price Chopper, Safeway, Thrifty
Foods, Freshco, IGA and Lawtons drugs. Near about 125,000
employees of this company helps Sobeys Inc. to run its business
smoothly (Bedford, 2019).
To create a positive corporate image in this organisation prioritises
sustainability practices (Corporate.sobeys.com, 2020).
To reduce carbon emissions this organisation has taken certain
initiatives.
