Introduction
The report deals with the discussions on the BPM and Strategy that are used by the
organizations that would be helpful for them in improving the procedures that are currently
lagging within the organization. The process is basically used for the increase in efficiency of
the management of business for the organization and the optimization of the processes and
the resources required for the procedures in the organization.
This report deals with the Comostwiz Pty Ltd organization and the BPM technologies
which are involved in the organization. The current system of the organization, the gap
model, the As-Is model and also the To-be process has been described in the report. Further
recommendations for the CEO of the organization has also been included in this report for the
further upgradation of the system that is associated with the organization.
Business Process Management
The concept of Business process management, is also known as the BPM process is
used for the monitoring of entire business process of the organization. The technique aims at
providing the organization with the increase of business performance and agility within the
organization. It is basically an approach which is a structured one and used for the
deployment of the policies, methods and practices that the management for the organization
follows. This process also aids the automation of the process which helps in optimizing the
business process and reducing the response time during the business of the organization.
Use of BPM for the Compostwiz Pty Ltd organization
The organizations which adopts the BPM strategies generally aims towards increasing
their overall business reputation and business efficiencies. They also aim towards gaining the
compliance for the standardization of the business processes and also the improving the
overall response time in the business procedures of the organization. In addition to this, the

The report has been used here for the discussions of the case study involving the
Compostwiz Pty Ltd Organization who is looking to automate their business process for
improvement of their overall business process and optimizing those. The organization is
associated with the sale of the solar driven digging device which is named Compostwiz. The
device makes use of the Nano-computing technology integrated with the micro-computing
technology used for the calculation and analysis of soil composition. It is also used for
gathering of the data from the soil related to transformation of the useless soil to useful soil
and as a result transforms them into nutrient rich and luscious compost/top soil which aids the
growth of vegetables and plants. All the collected data are then transferred using the wireless
mediums and stores the data in the cloud based data storage system.

Organization Structure of Compostwiz Pty Ltd
The Compostwiz Pty Ltd organization is formed by the inventor of the device jenny.
The inventor is looking for a system that would helpful for the improvement of the condition
of soil for farming that would improve the production of the farmers. The component that is
most important in the stainless steel probe and carbon casting. the components are obtained
from Spain and Canada where there is only a single supplier available in Spain.
The business of the organization has been extending sufficiently and by the end of the
year the sales of the company went down. Hence, this affected the business of the
organization to a great extend hampering the financial stability of the organization. There has
been no resolution to the degrading condition of the organization and a solution to this
problems id very necessary for the CEO of the organization.

Capabilities Gap
The sale process and the business transactions which are involved in the sales
processes of the company are generally performed on word of mouth and there are no strict
policies regarding these procedures within the organization. The CEO is looking for
developments in the process of formalizing the market procedures of the organization. The
main need for the organization is development of a solution that would provide organization
with sustainable innovation technically. The organization is also required to involve
internally that would put them in a position of great advantage where they would be staying
ahead of their competitors in the market. In the current procedures in the organization the
internal invocations are not supported and the use of BPM techniques would be very useful
for the organization. Presently, the procedures in the organization are performed manually
and this becomes a disadvantage for the organization in the sector of data storage system. The
manually process utilizes a number of employees of the organization for a single process and
this hampers the productivity and reduces the resources for the organization.
Performance Gap
Presently in the sales process of the organization, the sales order is received from a
customer and the order placing process is generally done by a phone call or any other website
that supports online transactions. As soon the executives receive the order they store the order
information manually and dispatches the order details throughout the other departments of the
organization. in the first steps the order is sent to the production department. After the order
placing process is completed the stocks are checked. In case the product is available the order
is sent over to the shipping team and the orders slip is duplicated and forwarded to the
accounts department. A third copy is also created for storing the information in a warehouse.
The information about the other processes are also reconciled and stored in this warehouse.
The sales order is then received by the logistics department where they make note of the

order and sign it with approval. After approval the product is then shipped and mode for
delivery is selected. Either the local truck delivery services are hire or the fed ex company is
selected for the deliveries which are out of station. The accounting department is then
entrusted with the sales which includes a shipping note attached along with the order details.
The order detail slip is then copied and stored carefully in the ring binder in the warehouse. In
addition to this, there are cases where there photocopies instrument used within the
warehouse has been broken down or the details of the orders has been neglected by staffs
involved in the system. This might involve in missing out on an order of a customer. The
shipping details of the order is then missed out and the balances in the accounts of the
organization is mismanaged. The order is investigated thoroughly and the invoice of the order
are decided upon. The sales order and the shipping order is then matched and details are
jotted down in the invoice and then the invoice is dispatched to the customer who has actually
made the order. The customers are then providing 14 days of time; within which they are
required to make the payment failing to do so the accounts of the organizations fall into bad
debt.
As an alternate to the process described above their situations where the product
required by the customers has run out of stock at that particular moment of time. In these type
of situations, a purchase request is made to the suppliers for the product. The payment is
made to the suppliers by the organization on a prepaid basis. The request is then set up by
purchase department on a priority basis and the order request is then mailed to the suppliers.
The product confirmation also requires about four and half weeks and once the invoice is sent
to the production department where the payment is done immediately to the suppliers.

The business process architecture defines the blue print of the organization which
provides a common view point for the all the users of the system. This helps in the alignment
of the basic aim and objectives of the organization strategically and acts on meeting the
demands of the organization tactically.

The main problems faced by the organization are already identified and it is due to the
processes in the organization that is conducted manually at the present moment of time.
Hence this has invited the thoughts of an online automat system that would be automating all
the procedures which are carried out within the organization. This would also be helpful in
resolution of the issues of internal communication within the organisation. The system would
be providing the organization with an efficient communication medium along with providing
excellent data storage system to the organization. The database deployment within the

organization would also ease up the storage information in the organization and provide the
staffs with the data storage options. This would also prevent the staffs of the organization
from missing out on important orders and the purchase request would also be sent directly to
the suppliers in case of unavailability of the product in the organization. The description of

for uploading their project online. This would allow the customers and the suppliers to get
connected remotely to the system. The development of the system would be benefitting the
organization to a great extent and improve the product quality of the organization to a great

organization to a great extent and this system would help the orchestration of the business
procedures of the organization very efficiently.
Recommendations
Following the suggestions of developing an automated system some recommendation
have been provided in this report for the CEO so that he can improve the system to a greater
extent. The recommendations have been described below:

 Automation planning: The CEO of the organization is required to plan the
automation efficiently as losing out on any important step would mean that the
inefficiency in the system would not be reduced.
 Staff Training: The staffs of the organization are to be provided with proper training
so that they are accustomed with the new procedures that the organization is
implementing so that they can work properly in the system.
Conclusion
For conclusion it can be said that Business process management technique is very
important for every type of enterprises and the Compostwiz Pty Ltd organization no
exceptions. The drawbacks of the manual procedures that are currently followed in the
organization has been described efficiently in the report and some illustration have been
included in order to provide the CEO with a clear view of the drawbacks in the system. The
