Introduction
Change is an inevitable part of any project and proper management of changes in a
project is necessary to ensure that a project is proceeding as per plan (Heldman, 2018). Effective
project management is associated with proper change control and change management so that at
the end of the project, the key project specifications are met (Stackpole, 2013). A number of
problems were identified for the blue spider project that needed effective management to ensure
that the project is a success. In the following paragraphs the changes that were needed in the blue
spider project were identified followed by discussing the process of submitting a change. The
report further discusses the options of satisfying each change and the key risks associated with
the option of change. The report provides the evidence of a complete change request form
associated with the chosen project.
1. Identification of the Changes Required
The case study Blue Spider needed significant changes that could have eliminated or
significantly reduced the chances of project failure.
The analysis of the case indicated that there were certain issues with the project plan that
lead to the project going over budget. The key change that is needed in the blue spider project is
redesign and develop the project plan that will ensure that the key specification of the project are
met.
Another change that is essential for the project include change in the communication
process of the project. There were issues with the communication within the team as the team
lacked effective communication. To formulate this change and incorporate the same in the
project it is essential to properly identify the key communication needs in the project.

Another change that is required in the blue spider project is related to management of the
human resources. The analysis of the case study indicate that there are certain issues that were
faced with the management of the human resources. The changes were needed in terms of
allocation of the human resources throughout the entire duration of the blue spider project.
The identified changes in the project will have certain impact on scope, time, cost and
quality of a project. The impact of the said changes and the technique of managing the impact of
the changes on scope, time, cost and quality of the project are indicated in the following table-
