Effectiveness and Usefulness of the Learning Experience
Business research methodology is primarily the process of collecting data and
information with the aim of making vital business decisions. In my opinion, the learning
experience is vital to not only individuals that aspire to venture into entrepreneurship, but also
people in the corporate world. This is because the foundation of every institution is business
where profits are expected at the close of the day, thus, sound decisions have to be made to
achieve such. Through the learning process learners were exposed valuable information such as
the existing types of research methods which include interviews, publication research, surveys
and other techniques that utilize both historical and present information (Bryman, & Bell, 2015).
The experience was valuable to me for various reasons. Foremost, I was able to comprehend the
effort that goes into the publication of journals as well as other scholarly materials that are
primary sources of information to scholars and other people of interest. With this understanding,
I know appreciate the information obtained from scholarly sources and I have a renewed regard
for the authors of this materials. The experience has further led me to value originality while
abhorring the act of plagiarism, which seeks to disregard the efforts of the original author as
another individual prides in plagiarized work. Hence, I know strongly affirm that plagiarism is a
criminal act in research and scholarly works and requisite measures should be installed to curb
such.
How the Learning Process Will Be Useful to Me
There are several associated benefits of the learning process in regards to its usefulness in
my course, program, future career, and life in general. In my course, I will be able to successfully
complete tasks and assignments assigned by the course professor. This is because I have a better

comprehension of the various materials that I can use as credible sources in order to complete
assignments. In addition, I will be able to explore the limits of information by various scholars,
thus, enabling me to draft comprehensive and conclusive papers on various research essays
during the course (Saunders, Lewis, & Thornhill, 2009). These efforts will translate to the overall
success in my program and will see me gain a distinction as I am confident that I will produce
quality papers earning me better scores. In my career, the knowledge on business research
methods will enable me to evaluate best practices using hypothesis testing and scientific method.
Whereas hypothesis testing will allow me to distinguish feasible and impractical practices,
scientific method will enable me to study theory and conduct observations (Hair Jr,
Wolfinbarger, Money, Samouel, & Page, 2015). Therefore, I will be able to make reliable
business decisions that will not only allow me to advance in my career, but also lead to the
growth of the business. In my life in general the information obtained will assist me in
navigating challenging life situations that might require me to critically appraise information that
I come across. This will in turn lead to the creation of good relationships with other individuals
in my life such as family and friends.
Describe Objectively What Happened in the Learning Process
The learning process on business research methodology was systematic. Foremost,
learners were presented with the outline, which highlighted the sections that were to be covered
in the topic as well as learning objectives. Afterwards, the educator possessed a question asking
students to define the term business research. In my opinion, this was done in an attempt to
gauge prior knowledge of the students on the topic and to make the class interactive, thus,
facilitating the process of learning. Several learners made an attempt at the question, but only a
few were able to correctly define the term. This was a clear indicator of the eagerness of the
