Coca Cola:
Coca Cola has addressed sustainability by creating difference to people, society and planet. It
has offered over 500 brands and 4100 varieties to people including low sugar drinks. It aims
to gather and recycle bottles and can by 2030 to reduce waste and works to develop society
with clean drinking water, with aim to return 100% of water consumed in drinks. Coca Cola
has minimized carbon footprint by 25% in 2020 (Reilly & Hynan, 2014).
Focus on sustainability is positioning Coca Cola as socially responsible corporate and it
engages in social activities as commitment to establish sustainable communities. The form of
corporate governance that best fits sustainable companies like Coca Cola is transparency and
full disclosure.
Intel
Intel has addressed sustainability by aiming to minimize their direct greenhouse gas
emissions by 10% each year till 2020 and as per recent analysis Intel has attained its
commitment to have dropped their carbon intensity during operations by 20% during 2017.
Focus on sustainability offers strategic position for Intel as it has placed the firm successfully
as global climate leadership corporate due to its sustainable goals like aggressive
minimization of CHG emission, water conservation and energy conversation project (Curry,
Guyon, Sheridan & Donnellan, 2012). Intel engages in social activities to fulfil its corporate
responsibilities. The corporate governance that best suits sustainable companies like Intel is
accountability.
Deutsch Bank
Deutsch bank address sustainability by focusing on three pillars i.e. financial intermediary
where it has used its market competence to support transition to clean and energy efficacious
global economy. It has taken active role to encourage renewable energy infrastructure
solution. Also Deutsch Bank has minimized carbon footprint and made its operations climate
neutral in 2013 and has enhanced energy efficiency (Borysova & Stobbe, 2015).
Focus on sustainability has positioned Deutsch bank as eco-efficient and climate ambassador.
