This report deals with the case study of Cakes and Buns Company. A proper analysis of the business model has been done using SWOT and Porterās five forces. A three pages prototype website have been developed for the company. A proper analysis of the website including technologies used in the development of prototype website have been discussed in the report. Industry Background The Cakes and Buns Company has been established on October 1985 in Inkerman St, St Kilda. Initially, it was a small business started by Jillian Norman and Rosie Khol. However, it took less time for the business to grow and gain customers in the market. The first store was opened in 1990 and faced competitive challenges from Brumbyās Bakers Delight for three years. However, one of the employees in the company became TV and film star that helped in promoting their products in the market.This helps in the development of the company by increasing sales of products. Gradually, the company opened three stores in Melbourne (Bocken et al. 2014).Now, the company has been looking for online expansion over the internet. The promotion of products over the internet might help in increasing customer base over the world. The company is looking for a proper functional website over the internet. Business Model The business model of the Cakes and Buns Company has been of Manufacturer type. The company used to manufacture their own products and sell it to the customerās directly. The company has been manufacturing different items in cakes and buns with different flavors. This

The company believe that taste and beauty needs to be directly propositional to each other. The company does not use any kind of preservatives (DaSilva and Trkman 2014). Cupcakes and cake rolls have been baked in small batches for ensuring freshness, consistency and quality. All products are products according it the order and demand of the customers in the market. There is no unnecessary huge production of products sin the company as they do not use any kind of preservatives for strong extra products. The company has been looking into the demand and expectation of the customers for preparing a healthy relationships with them.The taste and flavor of the cakes and other desserts are taken in matter for satisfying needs of the customers.
