INTRODUCTION
Career path is a group of jobs that helps in focusing on short term and long term career
goals. A Career path helps in providing the direction to move from one job to another within a
Career cluster (Hartung and Santilli, 2018). The Job opportunity which is identified is Marketing
assistant within the Engineering Industry. The role of marking assistant in Engineering industry
is to implement the marketing strategies and Campaigns. As a marketing assistant the task s to
research and maintain database. The responsibility of Marketing assistant is to compile and
distribute statistical and financial information related to budget spreadsheet and also organise the
presentation for customers (Hayden and Osborn, 2020). The Career in engineering industry
includes constructing, designing and managing the projects related to construction. The Skills
which is required to be marketing assistant in Engineering Industry are Communication Skills,
Teamwork, Leadership, Multitasking and Product knowledge. This report is based on self
reflection of which includes personal analysis, career action plan, CV and LinkedIn Profile
(Plinio and Smith, 2019).
PERSONAL ANALYSIS
I have conducted my personal analysis through which I found that I have some weakness
and strength that helps in increasing my growth and may also affect my career. I have strength
that I am good in leadership skills, communication skills, organisational skills and Confidence
(Santilli, Nota and Hartung, 2019). These elements make me to compete with other employees
and work with efficiently and effectively by focusing on my target through which I can
contribute my best in achieving the goals and objectives of Company (Kenny, Blustein and
Meerkins, 2018). I also found that I have a weakness which i need to overcome as it creates a
huge impact on my career and affect my performance. The Weakness I determine from this
analysis is lack of product knowledge, poor decision making skills, poor numerical skills and
lack of creativity; these factors affect my growth and career. The Opportunity which I can grab is
developing my career in more advanced Companies through which I can uplift my career and
boost my growth so that I can achieve my goals and objectives. Threat which I can face is heavy
competition in Industry, for overcoming the threat I have to be smart and unique that attract
organisation (Lee and Lee, 2018).
