INTRODUCTION
Focusing on the career viewpoints is extremely significant for the individuals as it enable
them in learning about various occupation which suits well their respective experience &
competencies & fit them perfectly to their unique career preferences like skills, values and
interest. Thus, it has been believed that individuals or students must prepare for their ability r
skill enhancements & overall career growth so that they can take wise decision because
ineffective decision making by them can put their career at a stake (Ashiq and et. al., 2021).
Therefore, main aim of this report is to highlight career choice that I will make as a students
when pursuing the business studies. Choice that will be examined is “HR profession”. This
report will be based on the personal analysis to assess strength and lacking areas. Beside it, this
report will also draw a career action plan with the motive to improve skill. At last, CV &
LinkedIn profile will be created.
Personal Analysis
As I want to grow my future career in the HR field, for this I have learned various course
so that I can gain a knowledge, understand concept and improve my skill related to the respective
field. I have also got an opportunity to work within a company where I perform with the HR
department. I have observed that there is a necessity to develop or improve few key skills or
abilities that will be required by me in order to carry out my chosen job profession in HR field.
There are various skills required in the field of HR (Beaven, 2019). Therefore, I am very good in
few skill but also lacking in some skill in which I need to bring more improvement. Hence these
skills are discussed below:
Strength
Decision making skill- As HR involve various decision making with the motive to
support the crucial organisational functions, therefore, it has been identified by me that I
am enough efficient to take decision. I am capable to make the difficult decision
whenever will face a dilemma of downsizing. As I carefully identify the situation and
then note the potential actions or solution to solve the problem by identifying their pros
and cons on outcome. It make my decision more valuable and help in bring a positive
result.

Leadership skill- In the filed of HR, leadership is very crucial as it help in the
organisational growth. I have also an ability to cultivate the organisational wide
leadership. This skill will be helpful for me in guiding the employees towards success
and also help them in becoming leaders themselves. Bys using this skill into my work
practices I can help reach the strategic objectives and goals by providing an innovative
and sophisticated leadership technique.
Teamwork & collaboration skills- In order to create best workplace for the employees,
teamwork is crucially required (Hays, 2019). It is my another major strength that help me
to work with others as I enjoy to work in a team because it enhance my knowledge. It
will be very beneficial for the me and organisation as well.
Relationship skill- As HR profession require an ability to establish a relationship within
organisation, therefore I am enough able to create a sense of the belonging within
workplace that demonstrate that it is my another major strength.
Area of development
Finance skill- As employee compensations & benefits go through the HR, therefore it
has been identified by me that I am not able to handle such activities and other
responsibilities like training, social activities performance appraisal. I need to improve
my finance skill to plan & include all these things in company's budge.
Multitasking- In HR field there is variety of the responsibilities including managing the
interviews, grievances and training program (Maity, 2019). But, I an not efficient in the
multitasking as it become very difficult for me to perform various activities at one or
scheduling the working activities in an organised manner.
Risk management skill- In organisation, HR individual are responsible to provide a risk
free and safe working environment to the employees. As risk management is very
complicated skill, due to which it can create a hurdle for in in my job role. Therefore, I
have identified that I need to bring more improvement in this skill as I am lacking to have
such kind of skills or abilities.
Career Action Plan
It is a customizable document that individual create with the motive to establish their
career goals. Having a career action plan motivate the individuals during all twists & turn their
career path throws at them (Provan and Pryor, 2019). Apart this, most significantly, a career

action plan also guide individual during time when they are considering the industry or career
changes by assisting them figure out whether their choice truly fits the plan.

CONCLUSION
From the above report, it has been concluded that decision made to choose the job profile
for HR profession within a specific company is quite appropriate based on the abilities or skills

Therefore, this report has discussed about the strength and area of development. In this analysis,
it has been identified that I need to work on the financial skills and risk management skill. Along
with this, I also need to become multitasker so that I become capable to manage different
activities effectively. It has been identified that, career action plain is another main aspect as it
enable an individual to improve his lacking skills in a proper manner and within limited time
