INTRODUCTION Career Action Planning outlines an action plan to achieve goal for the achievement of career growth. It includes necessary steps taken to set ideas and objectives to make plan and convert them into dream. Career action plan is a process that helps an individual to make decision to shape career goals . It helps in personal and professional growth in life. It is designed to develop skills and knowledge for effective learning process. These plans allows an individual to frame clear plans to assist them towards achievement of desired goals. The Planned activities can meet when person has implement those set plans (Yang, Zhou and Deng, 2022).This report will analyse the objective of skills that will require me to become a successful assistant event planner. This report will further review personal analysis by determining strength and weakness. It also develop career action plan to overcome those weaknesses and made present CV. MAIN BODY TASK Personal Analysis As an assistant event planner, it is necessary for me to have certain skills and knowledge in this particular field.I am pursuing related skills and capabilities to carry out the task and responsibilities relevantly. I am resulted oriented person and focus primarily on my objectives to achieve the result. With the help of this field , I am capable to learn new things and experiences that are required to manage the event more effectively. As an assistant event manager, I am capable to innovate new ideas which makes me unique from others. There are set of skills that I develop as an assistant event planner and it includes communication skill, time management skills to manage all the task (Crawford, Weber and Lee, 2020). I am organized all the events to manage all the work on a given specified period of time. All these skills helps me to meet deadlines. There are certain skills that I developed are mentioned below: Communication Skill:It is one of the most important skill that must have possessed as an event manager to attract the clients with effective communication. It build confidence and boost the morale towards my work. The effective communication brings transparency in my work through which I am able to express my views and thoughts before my clients. 3
Ability to work under Pressure:This skill helps to deal with unforeseen situation and reduce stress level (Sardi, Garengoand Bititci, 2018). The ability to work in pressure helps me focus on my goal to accomplished the task on time. This will allows me to remain positive in adverse situation. Self Motivation Skill:The profile as an assistant event manager helps me to deal with tough situation. It boost my self esteem and motivates me in different ways. In order to deal with pressure, it is important for me to motivate myself with my strength and abilities. From the above skills, it has been contributed in me personal and professional growth. It is required to focus more on decision making and presentation skill for the systematic working as as assistant event manager. It promotes management of all the work for which I am accountable to my organization. The plan related to such field helps me to lead the work. All these learning opportunities enable to overcome all the barriers that comes in between my skills and abilities. With the helps of frame plans and strategies towards my objectives make me successful person this field. Career Action Plan Career Action Plan identifies the professional path that directs me to achieve them. The skills which I was develop as an assistant event manager assist me to implement in setting up of long term objectives. These set objectives guide me throughout my life to develop an action plan in order to achieve goals. There are certain skills that I need to focus on which includes decision making and presentation skills and I am working hard to overcome these weakness. It is a set goals that enhanced my personality and ensure growth for future. These skills are the asset for me for my work . It requires lot of efforts to accomplish in professional world because it varies person to person and changes with the time (Laddand Reid, 2020). The framed plans is used to self asses and evaluate the overall performance. Also, the action plan includes many short term objectives that can be achieved through extra learning and training. As decision making skills helps an individual to think in precise manner and logically to use those decision in the professional field. There are few skills that I will require to develop: Decision making skill:Effective planning in order to make right decision is necessary in professional life without any doubts and with the help of thinking process. Presentation skill:This skill is required to make effective presentation of views , idea and expression to interact with others. It will helps to transmit the message from one source to another more efficiently. I will be able to convey my message and opinion with my team mates in order to achieve organizational goal. The ideas and thoughts to meet the customer expectation can be satisfied when I have specialized skill to express myself to other through my words and movements . Leadership Skill:This skill helps to coordinate the activities with the team. The leadership quality will help e to direct and assist the employees at professional level. It ensure unity and cooperation with the team mates to manage the task to accomplish them to time to meet deadlines (Amoahand Bikitsha, 2021). The leadership skills are required to me so that I am able tomake plans and strategies to lead my team towards achievement of desired goals. The leader is responsible to address the issue and resolve them for effective business activities. As an assistant event manager, the work requires to carry with the team and authorized different task to different person which will require proper direction of team manager. These weaknesses can be overcome with the help of outlining the professional development skill and have to commit myself to meet the timelines for the goal. It helps to identify the weaknesses and support me to indulge in activities and task, contributes me in overcome those barriers. I need to set long term and short term goals for my career growth and these skills me in personal and professional growth as well. It will require long term commitment and hard work to remove hindrance that reduce my efforts towards my work. Therefore. The continuous practice and learning helps me to develop those set of knowledge and skills. 5
CONCLUSION From this above report, it has been concluded that career action plan is a road map that motivates the person to set their goals and accomplish those work on time. It is an effective tool that promotes personality growth both at personal and professional level. The skills and knowledge is the demand of the today’s world and it can be achieved through setting up of short term and long term goals of the career plan. The outlines of plans guides an individual towards its achievement. It promotes innovative ideas and thoughts to develop new things, experiences and learning to explore particular field. All the skills like communication skill, presentation skill, decision making skills etc. are necessary to advance career and overcome all the barriers of life. 6
