INTRODUCTION
In today's business environment, it is very important for an individual that they should
best options for their career (Snaith, 2018). Their career decides their growth as well as their
future. This is necessary for individuals that they should choose career after analysing their pros
and cons. The career or profession is chosen in this report by an individual is site manager. The
reason behind this is person's own experience in this field. This report will be discussing
personal analysis, career action plan, CV and LinkedIn profile. It is necessary for student that
they should analyse their experience and identify their core competencies and areas of
improvement. They can improve with the help of career action plan.
TASK
Personal analysis
In current business environment, the construction management business are doing very
well and that's why different institutions are providing varieties of courses (Fujii, 2018). So that a
person is able to build skills and knowledge which helps them to achieve their goals and
objectives. In my personal experience, I identified that site manager is a best opportunity for me
as I have already experience in this field. I have running my own business as I was always sure
about this career. I did a business management course and from that I get to know that how a
person use their skills and knowledge in order to manage their multiple activities. I identified that
construction or site manager needs multiple skills in order to run their business. Some important
skills are critical thinking, active listening, monitoring, engineering and technologies, and
knowledge of construction and building (Faris and Shuren, 2017). I analysed that I always have a
good knowledge of building and construction knowledge as I always take a apart ion this field.
There was a incident where I get to know that I have to go for this field in college. During my
college days, my teacher gave me assignment on analysing the factors that affects construction
industry with a group. I analysed that it was not easy for me as I have no knowledge of this
sector. Then I discussed wit my group members that what we have to do it and in which manner.
After that we starting research on that topic. I used primary as well as secondary research so that
I will be able to find the right conclusion. During that period, I found that I was not too much bad
as my interest got increases day by day. I analysed that it was very flexible for me to choose this
option for my career. Due to my interest level, I was successfully completed my course within

time. My feedback from tutors was shocking for me as I got good grades and feedbacks. This
was a moment that boost my morale and that time I was confirmed that I have to choose site
manager as my career. After that experience, I always participated in these kind of things. Due to
this, I increased my knowledge and skills in this field.
During my graduation, I also got to know my strengths and weaknesses. I found that I'm
good at communication and collaboration skills. These both are skills are necessary in every
sector. Effective communication skills is very important for intellectual purpose. It is essential
for interacting with people so that a person is able to communicate their message effectively. It is
crucial that the person should be understand other person manage and this can be done with the
help of effective communication skills (Kissel and et. al., 2019). I found that due to my
communication skills I was competing my assignments timely. I did group work very well only
because of my effective communication skills. During assignments, I was very confidence to
share my opinions in front of the group members due to communication skills. In addition to this,
I am also good at collaboration skills as I was never face any problem to work with people.
Generally it is found that people are not comfortable and ready to work with other people as
everyone has different culture and background. But I am good at collaboration skills which is
very necessary to complete any project as it involves people. I also found some weal areas which
needs to improve by me so that I will able to grow my career very well. Some skills are critical
thinking, monitoring, engineering and technologies, etc.
Career action plan
Career action plan is an essential document which is prepared by a person in order to
improve their weak areas. I was prepared my action plan so that I will be improve my weak areas
which helps me to grow in the career.
