INTRODUCTION
The ability of doing work with other people with effective way is known as skill. This
report will cover personal analysis which includes current knowledge, experience and skills with
strengths and development areas. Moreover, this report also includes a career action plan which
cover both specific career and personal development related activity and also highlights the
skills, experience and knowledge which required for further development. In simple words job
opportunity means opening for full time employment. Job opening for marketing manager at
Sainsbury. For this job opportunities an individual should have skills like communication skill,
technical skill, leadership skill, creative skill etc. and required knowledge and experience of
marketing and sales, have ability to meet targets and should be result oriented.
MAIN BODY
Personal analysis
For the marketing manager job profile an individual required technical skill, leadership
skill, content management skill, creative skill, communication skill etc. and have experience of
two to five years in the field of marketing, capability to meet the targets, result oriented, support
team work and good command on English language. Qualifications needed MBA in marketing
specialization and any certification in the field of marketing and sales. So for this job profile I
have strengths like good trends analyser which helps company to forecast their sales in coming
time. Good communication skill helps organization to achieving objective on time and in
effective manner by the use of full resources and good networking helps in grab the whole
market. With my problem solving and critical thinking skills helps in solving issue of the

organization by brainstorming of employees and other methods (PENH., 2022). Leadership skills
means how an individual influence or guide others, with the qualities like effective
communication, accountability, vision, influence power, gratitude etc. help employees to achieve
goal with team. A good influence power is needed in marketing like how an individual influence
customer to purchase a particular product and have capabilities to identify the need and
requirement of customer and serve accordingly which build good customer relationship and have
a great impact on company growth. With my good project management skill helps employees to
work with better time management and good marketing helps in build brand image. For
development my skills I mainly focus on adopting new skills and knowledge because every
person need to be up to date and learn new things to work in more effective manner so this help
me in becoming more innovative.
However, I have determined that I face difficulty in adapting to new things. This one of
the major skills that is required within a professional opting for a career in the field of marketing.
With the constant changes in the technological environment of an organization, it has become to
learn to adapt new things faster and cope up with the changing environment. Therefore, I will
need to take certain actions through I can easily enhance my adaptability skills and enhance the
skill in order to gain a valuable marketing position within a reputed organization (Homsey,
2021). I also lack the ability to conduct market research in order to determine the trends that are
existing within the market with respect to the marketing done by different organization.
Also I have observed that there are several other skills too, that I need to develop within
myself in order to become an effective marketing manager within a reputed organization. The
skills that will help me in becoming the marketing manager includes leadership skills, content
management skills, technical skills, ability to work under pressure and development of analytical
skills. All of these skills have their own importance and will help me in improving my current
skill set and help me in reaching my business objectives . Since, the job role of a marketing
manager is creative in nature, it requires the ability to analyse the information, ideas, patterns,
trends and objects (Hayden, and Osborn, 2020.) . This helps the manager in developing an
understanding towards the information and then analysing it order to develop new ideas.
Similarly, the job the marketing manager is technical in nature and therefore, it requires the
manager to have sufficient knowledge and understanding towards using different types of
technical tools in order to fulfil the roles and responsibilities of a marketing manager.
