Task 5 Lesson Learned and Continuous Improvement
For this task focus on project governance, scope management and risk
management.
2.5.1. What lessons learned from previous projects did you take into
consideration for this project?
Answer:
From the previous projects, I learn so many things which i did taken into consideration in this project.
From the last project, I learnt that I have to manage time for each and every activity and try to
perform them on specified time. This learning helped me a lot in this project as by the help of this, I
was able to complete this project on specified time frame. Apart from this, due to ineffective
communication, I faced difficulties in interacting with team members in an appropriate manner. This
learning assist me in this project as I made use of effective communication tools so as to ensure that
all the information can be communicated effectively among the team members and the project
objectives can be accomplished.
2.5.2. Consider the outcomes from the stakeholder meeting, project
outcomes, progress reporting, and your own observations; what lessons
have you learned from this project in relation to governance, scope and
risk management? What would be your recommendations for future
projects?
In your response to this question, consider the following:
What worked?
Were the processes in place sufficient for identifying, monitoring
and controlling project scope and risk? Discuss and identify areas
for improvement.
Of the changes that were made (in relation to scope, risk
management and governance) did they result in improved
outcomes? What were they?
Answer:
While performing the project, there are so many things which went well and some are the things which did
not went well. Due to proper management of time, I was able to perform each activity on specified time and
complete the project successfully within the provided time frame. Apart from this, I also prioritize tasks as
per their significance which highly supports me in carry out activities of project effectively. However, while
working in the team I faced some difficulties initially as the nature and view point of all the team members
are different, but after sometime all the team members work collectively and co-ordinately with each other.
For the future projects, it is recommended that use of experience, skills and knowledge learnt this project
must be applied so that effective outcomes can be gain.
